[nospaces] [attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"] BGM: K Project - Suoh Mikoto[break][break] The Sankaku District. It was a lot noisier than he'd actually figured it would be. He'd been here before every once in a blue moon, but never long enough to really pay any attention to what was going on around him. Then again, this was literally the entertainment district of Japan. It should have been a given that noise would be one of the least of his worries being around here. It was more of whether or not he stuck out like a sore thumb. This was one of two of the richest districts in Minato-Ku, and here he was, Mr. Homeless Magician wandering about like he'd lived here his whole life. Well, maybe not like he'd lived here... but the point was that he couldn't help but feel a little uncomfortable here. Probably cuz he wasn't a big-shot performer like a lot of people around his age. Not like his friend.[break][break] He stopped and sat himself down upon a bench, suitcase in hand as he heaved out a sigh. His feet were killing him, as he'd been walking all the way from Shiba-Koen - the area that held his little base of operations, so to speak. He'd managed to find himself a little hiding spot of sorts so he could at least rest easy at night. Or at least as easy as he possibly could. A makeshift tent in a warehouse was about as close to a luxury as he could manage. But hey, it was something. But right now, he was a fair bit away from "home", and walking wasn't always as easy as putting together a picnic, depending on the locations of Point A and Point B. At any rate, he needed a quick pick-me-up, deciding to heft up his suitcase and pop it open, pulling out a thermos and unscrewing the lid. He'd pour himself what appeared to be naught but water. He currently had about 5000 Yen on his person, which honestly wasn't that much when one thought about it. Enough to buy three meals, and maybe enough food for a week, if he went super-duper cheap. But his true goal was to maybe put himself up in a hotel room for one night. He was sorely missing the feeling of sleeping in an actual bed, and he felt that a shower was long overdue. How else was he going to keep decent appearances and cleanliness in-between his long periods of work and outdoors?[break][break] Closing the suitcase, and placing it between his legs, he sat there and took a sip of his water again, allowing his ruby-red hues to stare off into space a bit. The expression on his face was one that was mixed between wonder and thought over his next performance, and honestly, what he was even doing here in the Sankakusu District. Maybe he was looking for something? Or perhaps someone would be more accurate? Yeah.. a friendly face sounded pretty good right about now. But the chances of that seemed incredibly slim, was the thought crossing his mind as he tilted his head back to gaze upward at the blue sky and the towering office buildings all around. [attr="class","susurrus"] [attr="class","jikan"] [attr="class","hiraeth"]山雨欲来风满楼 | [attr="class","achee"] [attr="class","castleonthehill"] ❝ Tartan, a green reminiscent of pear. Paired with crisp white and dark magenta. A black star set to rest against his heart. A colour palette that Toru had never held much, if any, affection towards, but had worn the Academy’s uniform with care, style. A simple price to be paid for the privilege of studying within its prestige. Only, at least since that sleepless morning, Toru despised the confines of his attire. Long, strong, bronzed fingers tugged irately at his striped tie. Eventually unknotting it with his efforts. Furthermore, each silver button upon his magenta blazer had been carelessly left unbuttoned, his shirt beneath both creased and untucked. Disheveled. Sloppiness, wordlessly thought to be a sign of disorganization, laziness, and down-right insulting by those of the Academy. Only, Toru wasn’t in a generous enough mood to care. Perhaps, he meant to lure a specific response from those around him. Unsuccessfully, though. Furthering his irritation. Since that morning, the city had a need for Sentai Mars – not Aihara Toru. Unfortunately, there was a balance that the seventeen-year-old had to maintain. No matter how sorely he wished to do otherwise. Somewhat defiantly, Toru had changed his usual pattern when studying. He tended to spend his lunch-hour within the Academy’s building, socializing among friends. Spending time with his girlfriend. Instead, he had taken to roaming the nearby Sankakusu streets. Rather than holding onto some form of take-away food or beverage, Toru kept one hand upon the twisted gold of the bracelet upon his right wrist. Ember-bright hues constantly scrutinized nameless faces. Watchful for danger. For ghouls. In his relentless scrutiny, ember hues identified a familiar mop of green-and-red hair. And the tight knot of uneasiness, of restlessness, formed within the pit of Toru’s gut lessened. In a few easy strides, Toru had come to stand behind the bench on which his childhood friend had claimed. Leaning over, the taller youth showed no hesitation in draping his arms around the other’s shoulders. Pressing his cheek against his to add further affection to his embrace. ”Na-gi-sa.” Warmth and barely suppressed laughter laced Toru’s voice. All too aware that his one simple gesture would almost certainly cause some, rather feminine features to scowl. ”Hmm. Now what are you doing in Sankakusu, hmm?” Toru afforded no pause for the other to answer, instead adding, with a smirk gracing soft sepia lips, ”Looking for me? You’ve missed me, right?” |

[nospaces] [attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"] BGM: K Project - K's Theme[break][break] A pair of arms draped around his shoulders from behind, hands of dark skin, large, and strong. They wrapped around him like that of a warm, tender embrace, protective and loving. A sensation that he could barely remember feeling in all of his years walking this earth. For a moment, and only for a moment, he was reminded of an old love he once knew. However, that moment soon felt as though it had been ruined as a very familiar voice soon began speaking with an obnoxious drawl in its tone. What would have been a blushing face being surprised by unexpected romance, soon turned to a sour scowl as that familiar person's face began pressing against his own, nuzzling incessantly as the man spoke. It was none other than his childhood friend, Toru Aihara. They'd practically grown up together like siblings ever since they were kids, and were practically inseparable. But when Nagisa's parents were killed by the Yakuza, the dual-colored boy had been struggling to survive on his own ever since. Sure, Toru had offered to help him numerous times, but Nagisa had turned him down each time.[break][break] "Mou, yamete o, ba~ka!" he griped, breaking away so he wouldn't continue being held subject to Toru's "affections", as the more masculine of the two liked to call it. Nagisa already knew how much of a flirt the guy was, and he was okay with it. However, whenever he laid it on thick, kind of like now, he just couldn't help but get a little mad. It's not like he liked the guy or anything, so there was no reason for it. At least, that's what he told himself... a lot. He was the only one who knew about his secret feelings for the guy, or so he'd hope. "And what's wrong if I did...?" he murmured under his breath. The scowl on his face would slowly fade away, but not until he was 100% certain that his cheeks weren't burning from the earlier embarrassment.[break][break] He took a moment to finish up the water in the thermos lid before screwing it back on, the metal cylinder disappearing into the suitcase as quickly as it had been taken out. It wasn't long before another sigh escaped Nagisa, his hands clasping together briefly before parting again, his famed deck of cards seeming to appear from nowhere. It may as well be the case, considering he was hardly ever seen in a shirt with proper long sleeves. Practiced fingers began shuffling the cards expertly with nimble movements and a swiftness that could almost seem inhuman. They were moved up and down, side-to-side, betwixt and between. The red-eyed boy only seemed to have his head in the clouds again, not even paying attention as he shuffled those cards in such a manner that would put a professional dealer to shame.[break][break] "So what are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to at school right now? What are they gonna think if they see you hanging around a schmuck like me?"[attr="class","iconieno"] [newclass=.biggieno]margin-left:-300px;[/newclass] [newclass=.textieno]margin-top:-425px;margin-bottom:150px;width:300px;height:400px;padding:10px;background-color:#fff;border:solid 1px #b7b7b7;color:#939393;text-align:justify;overflow:auto;margin-left:610px;font:11px calibri;[/newclass] [newclass=.textieno::-webkit-scrollbar]width:10px;background:#fff;[/newclass] [newclass=.textieno::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb]background:#b7b7b7;border:2px solid #fff;[/newclass] [newclass=.iconieno]margin-top:-240px;margin-left:-220px;margin-bottom:50px;[/newclass] [newclass=.tagsieno]font:11px calibri;color:#b7b7b7;margin-top:-75px;margin-left:-75px;margin-bottom:40px;[/newclass]

[GoogleFont=Raleway|Montserrat|Ubuntu] [attr="class","event1"]A man––large, pale. His skin cold as ice, his hair white as snow––but his eyes, his eyes were other worldly. Ruby hues seethe with bright red were seen in the center of white sclera's. The male standing with a height of 6'8 feet, the male would adorn a slim-fitting navy blue business suit. [player]http://k003.kiwi6.com/hotlink/wopuxnj1dg/The_Melancholy_Of_Haruhi_Suzumiya_Crisvee_God_Knows_English_zippy.audio_.mp3[/player] Standing before him, as he would clap and cheer on a certain individual, stood upon a karaoke stage within the center of the Sankaku District. This youth, this girl, possessed a white bonnet upon the top of her head. A white blouse that revealed the young woman's fairly toned, porcelain skin. Her hair, voluptuous and of charcoal color, brimmed under the beautiful light which shone down from above the cool breezing air as she sung upon the stage. With a sway of her hips, that which adorned a beautifully decorative frilly black skirt, maneuvering left and right upon syncing with the rhythm of the drums and stringing guitar; underneath her skirt were black stockings that would tread behind where, lastly, for footwear, she would adorn a pair of white three-inch strap on heels. Sitting upon the young girl's back there were angelic wings that were attached to the lower half of her back for decorative purposes. "That's it Ran-Ran-chan, you're a star!" the man exclaimed aloud as he would cheer on the young girl known as Ran-Ran. "This is so fun, ahaha! It's been forever since I got to sing such a song, the music here is really splendid and just wonderful––I want to try their sweets next Ni-Ni-kun!!" Patting the head of the young child he couldn't help but say yes, "Fine, we'll go right after Toranzu-chan, but first you need to do one thing––you know what it is right?" Placing the little girl back onto the stage, standing no more then 5'4 feet. She would give a childish grin as the people around began to swarm the stage once more––assuming that she wasn't done. "Hello, everyone! I'm going to sing you one more song, I want a few special friends of mine to hear this next one; so please, while you're being maimed and your mind torn asunder, please be respectful as I sing you this wonderful song, okay-desu!" Revealing within her hand a black five-star pointed pentagram with a golden circle surrounding the pendent. Black electricity began to crackle from the pendent as several monstrous beings (Ghouls [ x]), no more then five, would come to appear upon the bottom of the stage beside Ni-Ni. The five would stand at a height of regular-sized humans, no more then with a feet of 5'11 at best. One of the ghouls would burst forward, entering the mouth of a random citizen. That citizen would come to feel...nothing? Choking and coughing out quite a hefty amount of saliva, he would still feel nothing. The demon that which possessed him...made him feel weird on the inside though compared to the outside. His mind––no––his eyes. His eyes would come to reveal a ruby glow. His maw would turn into a sinister grin, a desire to release his inhumane nature––his primal instincts. Another male would intercept the man as he tried to tell him to pull his self together or else they would become food for the shadow demons. But with a simple push from the possessed individual, his strength came to be so strong that it would cause the male to fly quite far and into a car––passing the two boys ( TORU AIHARA & NAGISA YAMIGATA ), interrupting their conversation. The other four demons would soon come to find host of their own. Currently there were three men and two women now possessed, and ready to do the bidding of the duo known as Ni-Ni and Toranzu. As Toranzu was singing upon the stage, Ni-Ni allowed himself to take a deep inhalation––a whiff––of despair and chaos; his hands, resting within his pockets, he would say, "I love the smell of chaos in the morning." The sky began to distort. NAGISA YAMIGATA , TORU AIHARA MADE FOR MOONLIGHT DENSETSU |

[attr="class","susurrus"] [attr="class","jikan"] [attr="class","hiraeth"]山雨欲来风满楼 | [attr="class","achee"] [attr="class","castleonthehill"] ❝ Toru’s laughter echoed as a burst of crowing sound, quaking out of rhythm but utterly sincere. As he didn’t resist against shoulders that firmly shook him away, having predicted the other’s reaction to near-perfection. ”Harsh,” he returned critically, as he grinned, incorrigible. Tarnishing any iota of severity behind his delivered line. Moving his hands so as to hold onto the bench’s spine instead, the masculinely-built seventeen-year-old half-vaulted over the seat in a dexterous motion. All so that he could sit beside Nagisa, only elevated. Resting upon the bench’s spine rather than its seat, dark loafer-clad feet resting there instead. In such close proximity, Toru heard his friend’s quiet muttering. His laughter quieting as ember-hued eyes glanced sideways, lingering upon rouged cheekbones. Both Nagisa’s and his own lives had been bound to one another for so long, he never questioned the affection that they both bore for one another, what each other meant to the other – but it still cheered him to hear it being verified. Especially as the other had always struggled in expressing softer, more vulnerable emotions. ”Huh?” Teasingly, Toru moved so as to lightly bump his shoulder against Nagisa’s side, setting his mouth into an overly-dramatic pout. ”You know, if you mumble like that I can’t hear you. Which, is actually kind of annoying as it’s been a while since last we had a chance to speak. If I didn’t know what a stubbornly resourceful guy that you are, I might have worried. But, instead,” and he leaned slightly forward. Propping his chiseled chin against one of his hands, resting against a knee, so that his gaze could pierce the depths of garnet hues, his smile softly set. ”I just missed you, Nagisa.”Resetting his posture up-right, bronzed fingertips moved towards the nape of his neck, kneading at his skin and strands of his long partially-dyed hair. ”I know, it’s my fault,” he admitted, regret lacing his baritone words. ”I’ve … been busier lately. Kind of worrisome, actually. I think that I’ve become a little bit shit, as a friend.” Humor came easily when honesty became difficult. Ember hues observed Nagisa’s card-shuffling. Cautious about following the almost supernaturally swift motion in which pale digits moved too closely, as more than one incident, as a boy, had left Toru experienced in knowing how easily dizziness could be inflicted else-wise. Only it was a difficult temptation to resist. Fingers danced with those cards with a beauty that Toru had never seen anyone come close to interpreting. Nagisa had a talent. One that Toru had always found difficult competing against. Convinced that it was the orchestration of fate, of a bitter brand of destiny, maybe even luck, which had left him positioned upon a pedestal whilst his friend had to keep climbing for recognition. And not the comparison of talent at all. It was unfair, but a lack of fairness had always dogged both of their heels. The two of them orphaned, all but alone in the world. They were the closest thing to family that either of them had. ”No-one thinks of you as a ‘schmuck’,” Toru was quick to argue, sparing Nagisa a momentary frown. ”Not with your magic – which, I’m almost ashamed to say, is much nicer to watch than the handsome TV star communicating their grandmother’s dying wish or casually counting the amount of ghosts haunting this neighborhood.”Still making jokes, Toru was conscious of himself avoiding the other’s direct question – not that Nagisa would indulge his efforts. It was harder to withhold the truth from him than it had been for Toru to lie to everyone else. Nagisa alone had been privy to the other’s secrets and guarded thoughts since they were boys. Toru wanted to share with him now. About his awakening as the Knight of Mars – how he had always actually been Mars, he had simply forgotten, his strength and powers sleeping for too long. About how he, along with his dear friend Venus, were tasked in protecting Minato-ku whilst they searched for their missing fellow knights, individual princesses and prince. About the oaths that he had sworn in another life, which still held purpose in theirs. About last night when, returning home after shooting an episode for his television show, Toru had thought nothing about lighting some scented candles around his apartment. That, upon staring a moment too long into a flickering flame, a compulsion born abruptly in the moment, a vision had struck Toru, as often he had experienced during the Silver Millennium. An assortment of images, visible one moment and fleeting in the next, a bewildering forewarning that lasted for barely a couple of minutes. Yet Toru clearly recalled the details of a pair of eyes, of a shade of red as dark as rubies. Of heavy flowing robes, as pale as freshly fallen snow. A strange pendent shaped into the design of a pentagram, a famous symbol of the occult, of magical power. And echoing, alike a whisper hissed into his ears, delivered in the same sympathetic, gentle tone of his remembered self, his own voice only not his own, ”protect the Silver Crystal.”How a heavy curtain of dread, foreboding, had been weighing against his shoulders ever since. Only, Toru couldn’t. He could, however, spare Nagisa a crooked smile. ”Oh, do you think that I’m playing hooky? Worried that I’m finally becoming the bad-boy delinquent that Mom had always seemed so convinced I’d turn out being?” He chuckled, as his smile turned devious. ”Maybe you should escort me back to my apartment then? Make sure that these streets are safe from the brunt of my delinquency. Also, you can do me the favor of eating these leftovers that I’ve been stuck with since Rin showed me this Korean place in Roppongi. I am never going to learn to like kimchi –“Abruptly, and rather uncharacteristically, Toru’s voice stopped mid-sentence. His complexion blanching, visibly, as a chilling shiver quaked down his spine, a wordless forewarning. A moment before a sickening crash split the air – the loud force of impact of a stranger being hurled against a vehicle, parked close to where both friends sat. The car’s alarm system joining the cacophony of distressing sounds as what peace there had been was shattered. Ember hues swerved to face the direction in which the man had been so violently thrown from, and dark eyebrows drove downwards at the five human-like forms advancing towards Nagisa and himself. Only, Toru’s gaze proved capable of perceiving the evil forms, wearing each human like a morbid suit. Lithe of build and gait, but possessing faces nightmarishly unrecognizable. Lips contorting beyond human movement to reveal needle-fine fangs. Dark energy pulsed about them, like shadowy tendrils, sickeningly chilling. Ghouls were still every bit as terrifying as when first Toru had been confronted by one. Toru got to his feet, his right arm lifting, fingertips reaching towards the darkened sky, as the maroon sleeve of his blazer dipped, showing the twisted gold of his power-bracelet. Sepia-hued lips moved, prepared to form the incantation for his transformation – only his voice became stuck within the sudden thickness of his throat. Fear – but it wasn’t the sight of the ghouls which had shaken his resolve. It was Nagisa. Garnet hues might continue to behold him even once Toru revealed his true self, but they wouldn’t see him. To Nagisa, it would appear that his best-friend would suddenly vanish in the midst of the danger, without a trace, no matter how impossible that would likely seem to be. And Toru couldn’t guess at how he could explain that. How he would protect Sankakusu and his best-friend, knowing that Nagisa would be relentless in finding and protecting him even at the risk of his own safety. And yet, only his fire would burn away the evil that threatened the district. If he didn’t fight back, many lives would be lost. Sankakusu or Nagisa. The choice did more than weigh heavily upon Toru’s shoulders; it was crushing him, locking him in place. Allowing the ghouls to draw ever closer. If only Takeo was with him, or even Ares, Toru could have gotten Nagisa to a safer place and then returned to fight earnestly, but he was alone – - No. Not alone, that was the problem. Sharply, ember hues turned to Nagisa, as he dropped his arm back against his side. He was Toru’s precious companion too, perhaps not as long or as capable as Takeo had always been, but that didn’t diminish their bond, their trust. He could trust in Nagisa, perhaps not with the truth, but to keep pace with him, to have his back. ”Two favors, Nagisa,” Toru spoke quickly to his friend, adding, with a sardonic and crooked smile, ”not that you can really argue with me right now. But, you’re going to have to hurry up and call for help whilst I play the distraction. And I’m going to need your suitcase.” Toru didn’t wait for the other’s approval or objections. Instead, he lifted the somewhat weighted suitcase in his left hand, and, unhesitatingly, charged headlong at the ghouls. With the little that he had had a chance to observe about the newly hostile ghouls, Toru suspected that most, if not all, were as fast or faster than the average human, but it was their inhuman physical strength that was most deadly. If Toru became caught or cornered, death was almost certain. Particularly as close-ranged combat had always left him at a disadvantage. Fortunately, his intent wasn’t to engage the five in an all-out brawl – quite the opposite, really. Shifting his weight whilst simultaneously drawing the suitcase behind his right shoulder, akin to preparing to swing a baseball-bat, Toru set his sight upon one of the men, centered between the rest. And he swung the suitcase, with all his strength, directing the blow at his head, releasing his hold upon the borrowed object in the hope that doing so would add to injury and the intended confusion. Freeing himself from any extra weight also removed restrictions to his mobility. And Toru dexterously maneuvered himself between and past the remaining four. ”Come on, you stupid puppets!” Toru jeered, inciting, as he made to sprint towards the direction in which the ghouls had advanced from. To lead them after him and away from Nagisa, at a far enough distance so as to lose sight of that mop of green-and-red hair – for garnet hues to lose sight of him. Only then would Toru transform into the Knight of Mars. Confident and assured that he hadn’t sacrificed Sankakusu for Nagisa, or vice versa. |

Toru continued to tease the dual-colored boy a bit, though hitting a slightly more serious note as he mentioned that he was worried about Nagisa. Then again, when didn't Toru worry about him? If he wasn't in his classes, or busy with his work as a TV Persona who happened to communicate with the dead, the darker-skinned male was usually worrying over him, or trying to convince him to take up residence in a place he could grab for him. But Nagisa had refused him many a time, explaining that he didn't like the idea of simply receiving something like that for free. It didn't feel right unless he worked for it himself. You could say he was pretty stubborn like that. But it as only because he cared too much about Toru to want to potentially drag him down financially like that. Housing costs a lot, no matter where you live. His attention fell upon the ember-hued man as he mentioned that he missed him. This brought about a curtain of crimson to stain fair, porcelain skin, making him turn away once more.[break][break]
"O-oy, oy. Why are you getting so sentimental on me all of a sudden? It's not like I don't check-in with you so you know I'm alive..." Truth be told, though, he couldn't quite remember the last time he'd actually checked in with Toru to let him know that he was doing well. After all, he didn't have a phone. He couldn't afford it, let alone the service fees that came with. His thoughts on the more trivial things compared to the more serious conversation was broken as the ember-hued man went on to call himself a shitty friend. At this, Nagisa spoke up. "D-don't say that! So what if you got busy? Big deal! That's part of the job! That's part of life. It happens." Admittedly, he would have liked it if he could have spent more time with his friend, but he also understood very well that as you grow older in life, you don't always have time to have fun or spend it with people who are a part of it. He knew that too well himself, considering that he spent most of his time performing in order to earn enough money to get by for a day.[break][break]
Red hues met with embers as the pair seemed to lock eyes with each other, a sense of worry and endearment burning behind both. It was something that was always there between them. They'd gone through so much together like they were actual siblings, that it made many wonder about their relationship. There were some times back in the day as kids that they had been teased about going out together. Toru, being the way he was, would embrace it and tease poor Nagisa to death with it. Nagi was the slightly more conservative one between the two, so he'd have his moments where he would deny it profusely while his face flushed full-on red. Though, when he really thought about it, the idea never truly bothered him. He just never knew how to deal with it. Again, he'd be brought back to reality as Toru proclaimed that Nagisa's magic was much more appeasing than his own day job, such as contacting dead grandparents to convey their dying wishes. And it was sort of true. That thought had a rather ghastly feel to it.[break][break]
"Well, while I admit that my side of things aren't very glamorous, I'd certainly stick to my cards than having to talk to dead people in front of the living. I mean, I make myself look like a loon on my own already. Don't need the extra pressure of the supernatural on my heels!" He couldn't help but laugh a little, knowing that the darker male was speaking of his own work in a joking light. He appreciated how down-to-earth his friend was with him. Or at least, he did his best to try to be. Though, another joke came by, and Nagisa wasn't about to let that one slip without a little jabbing himself. "You are a delinquent! Seriously, I can't even count how many times I've happened upon you with some guy or girl hanging off of you like you'd just acquired your own personal harem. Oh, and that time where that guy was gonna deck you in the schnoz cuz you inadvertently made a comment about his hair! If I hadn't been there to listen to his story about him taking to that style cuz a guy with the same hair pushed his mom's car through the snow so they could treat his fever at the time, you probably wouldn't look nearly as handsome as you do now! And as for the leftovers, you better not be joking, cuz every time you get something from Rin and you don't finish it, I always find it to be such a waste. She's a really good cook you know, and-"[break][break]
Nagisa hadn't noticed until it was too late - the sudden change of features that Toru had taken on before looking over towards the shocking and horrifying event of a man having been violently flung into a passing car. The steel had crumpled beneath the impact of the force, glass shattering and embedding itself into their back, the poor man falling to the road in a crumpled heap. If not for the slight twitches of movement, Nagisa would have been most certain that man should have been dead. What came next was like something straight out of a horror flick. A handful of people were moving in a disturbing way, malicious grins plastered upon their faces as they steadily made their way towards Nagisa and Toru, attacking anyone who might happen to be close-by. He barely had any time to process what was happening before his friend's demeanor had changed, instructing him to call for help before running off with his suitcase. [break][break]
"O-oy! Toru!!" Even as he called after his friend, he knew he couldn't stop the man after he'd made his decision. The guy was kind of stubborn like that to a degree. Then again, so was Nagisa. He had no clue what the hell was going on, but he wasn't about to let his closest, possibly only friend deal with this crap alone. "Ah, k'sou! You're not gonna lose me that easily!" he exclaimed, soon taking off after his ember-eyed friend, taking care to avoid the oncoming "zombies" as best as he could.

[GoogleFont=Raleway|Montserrat|Ubuntu] [attr="class","event1"] "Ah man, that was hilarious, ahahahahahah!" cried the laughter of Ni-Ni. His face was dying from laughter as he cried tears of joy. "Did you see the way that guy got pushed? Holy Chaos was that hilarious," said Ni-Ni. And with the sudden turn of his head, during Toranzu's singing, he would notice the sudden motioning of a caramel toned boy. "What's this...?" The boy would rush forth, successfully hitting one of possessed humans upside the head with a simple suitcase. The possessed human's neck would come to twist––appearing to broken––from the sudden boy's attack, but cracking his neck back into place the male would merely chuckle at the tactics and damage that were done by the young male. "Hoh boy, that's not good..." Ni-Ni commented. The five ghouls would come to chase after the caramel skin toned boy. Leaving no chance, or room, for the boy to escape. "Ah shit, that kids a goner; he looked like he had yet to have a fulfilled life, but whattaya' gonna do?" Shrugging without a care. Ni-Ni's lips would take this chance to pucker up and release a tune of whistle. For now he would be left with the songstress as well as the empty entertainment district of Sankakusu, leaving Ni-Ni with no choice but to go for a walk and follow his beloved ghouls. Though, while following, he would be quite behind the two young males and the ghouls. "Toranzu, when your done with that song you better come the hell on!" he said loudly enough for his partner to hear. "Alright, now, where the hell did you boys run off to?" spoke Ni-Ni.
During the chase after the male known as Toru, with his friend following in pursuit behind the ghouls, one ghoul would come to climb upon the side of the building on all four upon the left––this one female––and another would crawl upon the street walls opposite to the first ghoul––this one male. The rest of the three, following after the male on foot, would merely chase after him until he would lead them all into a corner. The sky, once again, becoming distorted. Elsewhere, without any clue, there was a third being coming to arrive upon the battlefield quite soon. But there was nothing to fear for he was no foe, but a little ball of fire. [attr="class","susurrus"] [attr="class","jikan"] [attr="class","hiraeth"]山雨欲来风满楼 | [attr="class","achee"] [attr="class","castleonthehill"] ❝ Toru had assumed that a ghoul’s speed and physical strength were advanced beyond that of a human-being, but it seemed that their sense of perception was just as unnatural. As the “mouse” in their deadly game of chase, Toru tried to evade once it became clear that the five creatures had decided to pursue. Thinking to incorporate nearby obstacles. Such as vaulting over benches, taking side-corners after purposely delaying two-or-three precious seconds, or dashing up stairs all so as to jump over a railing from such an elevated height, landing where he had just previously been, knees bent so as to endure the landing. Yet each “distraction” was seemingly predicted, each ghoul was relentless in their chase. Toru possessed deep reserves of stamina, but not without limit. Exhaustion would inevitably slow him down, more-so than the creatures would experience, and then they would catch him. And then they would either try to possess his body, or kill him. As neither fate appealed to the knight, it was imperative that he evened the odds. Sooner rather than later. The streets of the city could prove to be a maze to the inattentive, even under normal circumstances. Still sprinting, Toru stumbled to a stop upon finding himself facing an unexpected wall, already aware that he couldn’t double-back – he had felt his enemy’s breath at the back of his neck since first he had begun the chase. Fortunately, the limited space of the street meant that they couldn’t retreat either. Toru could establish some control over the chess-board – if he played cautiously. And with Nagisa no longer in sight, Toru was no longer distracted by doubt or worry. Stepping upon and turning on his left foot, the Mugen Academy high-schooler turned to face his enemies. Yet, his right arm was held high above his head, simultaneously invoking and unleashing the hidden power contained within his person. ”Raise your sword, Mars Power!” The ruby gemstone, cradled within the enfolding golden symbol of planet Mars, composing the center of Toru’s bracelet, blazed brightly, as if kindled by flame. And so did Toru. Twirling, dancing among the scorched backdrop of his planet’s warm embrace, Toru was a masculine form composed entirely of light and flame. Licking flames, which upon rescinding, revealed the transformation of his outward appearance. Beginning first with flawlessly white gloves completely enclosing his hands and fingers. And ending with the inked surface of a rectangular strip of paper, resting visibly within the enclosure of the outer-pocket of a twin-tailed, padded-shouldered jacket. Garbed in the handsomely tailored white-black-and-crimson suit of a Stellar Knight, his dark hair unbound, falling against the strong outline of his shoulders. His irises all but living fire, as he notched the jagged frame of a short-bow. Positioned with a black fletchless arrow directed, but not yet fired, at the most central of the three ghouls advancing towards him. ”Garbed in the garments of Mars, I am the handsomely-suited solider, who fights for flame and prophecy – Sentai Mars! In the name of Mars, I’ll chastise you.” Sepia-hued lips broke into half-of-a-smile, smirking both confidently and, somewhat, tauntingly. ”One. Two. Three – now, I’m certain there were five of you.” A male and – Toru thought that he remembered correctly – one woman were missing from their ranks. Where they had gotten to, what they were doing, Toru didn’t know. Fiery hues didn’t dare to stray far from the threat before him, all too conscious of there being no room for error. ”Tsk. Either way, there’s now going to be three of you less.”One – Toru held his breath, his anticipation verged on painful. Deliberately waiting, risking the three ghouls to draw closer, all too ready to attack – Two – Muscular arms shifted and channeled their strength, as Toru held the intangible bowstring of his weapon taunt. Pointing a slicing arrowhead not at his enemy, but towards the noxiously churning sky above – Three – ”Mars: Downpour!” Released, the arrow flew high, slicing through air for the duration of a pending breath before igniting into a plume of dark flame. Fire, which immediately began to rain back downwards, streams of searing fire, intent on igniting ever last inch of the enclosed street. Uncoiling its reach from where the knight had stood so brazenly. |

[nospaces] [attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"]
Nagisa was lagging behind a bit due to his late start. With everything that was happening all at once, it took him a moment to finally say "Screw it!" and just book it after Toru and the monstrous people chasing after him. The darker-skinned man always had what Nagi considered "spartan" stamina, as it felt like ages had passed since they had all started running, just barely keeping his friend and the creatures in sight. But wait. Something wasn't right. Last time he'd seen, there were five of them chasing after Toru. So when he wheeled the corner going after them, why were there only three? Something was wrong. Very, very wrong. He started to pour on the steam to run faster, garnet-hues frantically swiveling about in hopes of spotting the other two. Where were they? Where were they?! Unless they were some super magicians or something, there was literally no reason two people...monster...things... could just vanish like that![break][break]
Time and again he looked, desperately trying to track down the two monsters that seemed to have split off from the group. It wasn't until looking up and seeing them for himself that he realized that they were scaling the sides of the buildings! ...They were on the buildings?! What the hell was going on here?! This was too much... way too much! And yet even as he thought these things, he proceeded onward, seeming to run faster and faster, steadily catching up with Toru and his ghastly assailants. Now of course, there was one question he absolutely had to ask himself at this point: What the hell was his plan? Would he turn around and run? Try to lure them away from Toru? Or maybe... actually, all of that just went out of the window as he heard Toru's voice suddenly calling out. But it was much different than what he'd ever heard. The corner he'd rounded had actually led him to his friend and his ghoulish tag-alongs, the caramel-toned man now adorned some sort of a princely get-up, and claiming to be a soldier of Mars. A Sentai. At this point, Nagisa was about ready to give up and trying to figure things out, and strangely his body began to move instinctively, right around the same time the downpour of flaming arrows began raining down on the three ghouls in front of Toru. [break][break]
His hand pulled out his deck of cards, bending them just enough so that they would shoot out from one hand to the other before clasping them together between his palms. After taking a few more seconds to get closer, he began flinging them like the knife-thrower in a circus act - a quick snap of the wrist to hurl mere cards at the two ghouls as though he were expertly wielding knives. Of course, he doubted they would do much of anything to them, but at the very least he'd draw their attention. All the while, as he flung his cards at the two ghouls up above, his mind began to calm itself a bit, and asked a much more prominent question that stuck out to him: Why did this feel familiar? Not like those times where he and Toru looked out for each other during their childhood, or the times where Toru saved his skin when he got into some serious trouble with the Yakuza in the past. This was a feeling... that felt like it went much, much further back. What the heck was that?[break][break]

[GoogleFont=Raleway|Montserrat|Ubuntu] [attr="class","event1"] The ghoul's who scaled the buildings were prepared to pounce on top of the guardian that which had been known as Sentai Mars. But with the sudden surprise of flinging cards, the two ghouls––though the cards did little to nothing to their skin but deliver light cuts that tickled––they would simply leap from their positions only to land and corner the circus freak ( NAGISA YAMIGATA ) with one ghoul in front of him and one behind. Saliva would befall their mouth only to be taken aback as their fellow ghouls would come to be shrouded within a blaze of flame; separating the two ghouls and Nagisa as the flames closed off their point of entry to join their brethren. But no matter. The duo ghoul would simply have their fun with the clown, but before anything could occur a loud whistle sounded within the air. It was him, Ni-Ni would come to signal the cry of his ghouls to halt. "My, my what do we have here?" he said aloud with a skip in his step. He would come to stand at least twenty-five feet from NAGISA YAMIGATA 's position, whereas the flames that which held his ghouls would extend a good distance of thirty-five feet. His gaze would focus on the green-haired male, "The Freakshow," he said aloud. "I don't like the color of your hair, but having saw what you did just then you must be a pretty good magician kid?" A tucked hand that once found itself within the suit of his pocket would exit only to scratch underneath the throat of his chin. "You got moxie, kid. But that's not enough for me to stop my toys from breaking your neck, y'know?" Placing the index of his finger upon the temple on the right side of his head, he would add, "Y'know, kid, I wonder if your friend over there––Sentai Mars'––has any clue as to whom I am." Casually walking toward the green-haired boy humming a tune, he would stand tall––like that of a giant––over the young male. "Can you guess who, or what, I am?" Ni-Ni questioned. The three ghouls within the circle of flames would come to halt, remaining on guard ready to attack had Sentai Mars mad even the slightest of movement; whereas the other two would step down and cower behind Ni-Ni. "Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Oni Ayakashi, a commandment of chaos and enemy of the Moon Kingdom. I possess the commandment title, "Pacifism," where's the Moon Princess?" His gaze would emit a fierce look of desire, a want to harm the boy before him. "I'm sure you and your friend must have some clue of her whereabouts, she has something that belongs to us and we won't leave these people, your home or your city alone until we get it––right, Sentai Mars?" [attr="class","susurrus"] [attr="class","jikan"] [attr="class","hiraeth"]山雨欲来风满楼 | [attr="class","achee"] [attr="class","castleonthehill"] ❝ Oh. Shit.” The profanity slipped unintentionally from bronzed lips, as fire-bright hues widened. As equally taken by surprise as he was disturbed at the sight of the three ghouls still standing, seemingly intact. Not blackened ash as they were supposed to have been. Toru knew that the fault wasn’t his. The air was choked with smoke and ash. Brick had been blackened, fire still licked at the more hardy of the street’s random objects, its trash. His fire had rained down upon the limited space, and only he was supposed to be immune to its hunger – that was how it had been each time he had called upon his bestowed power in order to fight. The timing for error could not have been more poorly executed. With eyes that did not belong to them, the three ghouls fixated their sight upon the knight, simultaneously. Their hostility a cruelly tangible promise of pain. They had drawn too close, a scant four – five feet at best, out of reach. Toru was a savant at archery, but he knew that by the time that he could materialize a second arrow, they would already be on him. Jaw set rigid out of defiance, he reached out using his left hand, fingertips stretching, dancing. Leaving molten ash, levitating in the wake of his rushed motions. He knew the kanji without the need of deeper thinking, knew that if he was quick enough that he could summon another blast of flame. Deadlier, surpassing his prior attack in both reach and intensity, but at the cost of control. The margin for error, for mistakes was greater, and there was no guarantee that the ghouls would burn, but it beat the alternative. At least, Toru had convinced himself that it was in his impulsive decision. Until the motion, of the two missing ghouls dropping from the rooftops of surrounding buildings, caught his peripheral vision, distractedly. And, although three other ghouls acted as nightmarish human barricades from where he stood, ember hues identified green-and-ruby-red locks of hair and recognition dawned instantly. ”Nagisa?” Sharp of breath, daggered by shock, dread and fear, Toru blinked. Desperate not to believe his eyes. He had been so sure that Nagisa had listened to him, had reluctantly been forced to obey by being denied the opportunity to argue. What had seemed like being stuck between a rock and a hard place was immediately so much worse. Clenching his spread fingers into a crushing fist, Toru snuffed the molten form of his pending attack. It was no longer usable, Toru couldn’t continue. Doing so would have caught his friend in his searing fire. Only now, he was just as defenseless. ”Shit!” Hissing another profanity, Toru’s brain raced. Only it was a fruitless effort. He couldn’t shout at Nagisa to fight, and were the other to try and run he wouldn’t get far. A sharp whistle split the air. Surprisingly, each ghoul responded to the sound. The three before Toru relaxed their aggression, maintaining enough presence to keep the two teenagers from attempting to reach one another, but their stance had grown defensive, watchful. Whilst the two circling Nagisa backed down entirely. However, Toru felt no relief, for although circumstances had shifted, the fellow advancing forward at a tauntingly relaxed pace projected an aura, which promised that he was no friend of theirs. He was a giant garbed in an entrepreneur’s suit, bragging at a refined sense of style. Perhaps, Toru might have been fooled into thinking so if such a beast hadn’t taken to slicking his colourless hair back like the clichéd crooked businessman. If the vibrant hue of his suit didn’t seem to suck the very hue from his complexion, leaving only the colour of blood within his irises. The red of blood. Of rubies – Visibly, Toru tensed sharply. Recalling the cryptic warning of his vision. Ruby eyes. White robes. A pentagram. And a commandment. ”Protect the Silver Crystal.”Toru didn’t know what that was. Neither did he understand the importance of a woman who he wasn’t sure still existed. He only knew that he didn’t like the way that those bloodied eyes scrutinized Nagisa, the way that “Ayakashi” spoke down at him. Threatened him. As the Knight of Mars, Toru was duty-bound to defend Minato-ku from monsters like Ayakashi, but in that moment Toru was more than ready to abandon his oaths. If doing so would protect his childhood friend, his family. Toru had to get those murderous crimson eyes to look away from Nagisa, to stay upon himself instead. ”You’re talking about the Silver Crystal, right?” There was an edge to the words that flowed from frowning bronzed lips, Toru couldn’t disguise the animosity that he felt towards the beast of a man, but talking wasn’t a challenge. He had always been good at holding a conversation. ”That’s the ‘something’ that you’re so vaguely inquiring about?” Pausing, Toru drew a deep breath inwards, for both calm and focus. Readying to gamble, he allowed a corner of his mouth to quirk, as if amused. ”No, really. You’re going to have to clarify a little with me here because you’re sort of confusing, Mister Pacifism. Like this,” Toru carelessly gestured towards the ghouls, ”isn’t exactly something a pacifist would do. It’s very Voodoo.”Taunting also was a fairly simple trick. Risky, Toru knew that he was courting danger; after all, he really did question Ayakashi’s claims to pacifism, but it seemed the easiest way to keep all the attention focused upon himself. Safest, as Nagisa was the human within their freak-show, the one easiest for Ayakashi to hurt. |

[nospaces] [attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"]
The cards did their job. They provided themselves as a distraction to draw the ghouls' attention away from Toru. He couldn't have hoped to do any real damage to them, but it was still something. But just as they leaped down from their respective walls, a wall of inferno erupted between himself and his friend, the caramel-skinned man having to deal with his three assailants alone. The two Nagisa had occupied were now circling him like a pair of predators stalking their prey, observing its every movement. Just when it seemed like they were about to strike, a loud whistle pierced the air, all of the monstrous creatures ceasing their actions and simply waiting. At that time, a giant of a man made his appearance, addressing Nagisa as "The Freakshow". That... that was strike one. Nagi had taken up many names as a street magician, but that was definitely not one of them.[break][break]
It was made abundantly clear that this creepy giant of a man knew precisely what was going on, as he not only made comments about Nagisa being a skilled magician, but went ahead to state that there was nothing he could do to stop his "pets" or even himself from breaking his neck. Yeah, as if that wasn't already a given point considering the man's own incredible stature. And then he went on to address someone called "Sentai Mars" ...Sentai Mars? Was he talking about Toru? He wondered about that as he took a moment to steal a glance back at his friend from behind the curtain of flames. Sure enough, it had to be Toru. It was hard to mistake his features for it to be someone else, after all. He was one of a kind. He turned his attention back to the man, who had now walked up even closer and was now looming over him in the most unsettling way possible. Did he know who he was? He could hear his own heart pounding inside of his ears as a cold sweat slowly began to trickle down the side of his face. But instead of letting his fear show upon his features, he merely swallowed lightly before giving a nervous smile. "A-ah... yeah, I think I know who you are. You're "Goliath the Strong Man" from last year's carnival, right?" An obvious rebuttal he came up with on the spot, but he figured it would help in stalling a little bit.[break][break]
"Oni Akayashi" was this man's name. Otherwise, he referred to himself as "Pacifism". As if the first name hadn't spoken it loud enough, Nagisa had a feeling what kind of man this guy was - a demon. Not a literal demon, mind you. But it wasn't uncommon for people like him to be categorized as such with their personalities. And boy oh boy, what a colorful one this guy had. A servant of chaos, and enemy of the Moon Kingdom? This was definitely a new one. Heck, even he'd never come up with a story like that. Then again, there was a sinking feeling in the pit of his gut that told him that he wasn't lying. No matter how far-fetched every word he uttered sounded, somehow in some way, he knew or at least felt that he was telling the truth. It would certainly explain all of this bizarre crap happening around him right now. And then came the mention of a "Moon Princess". Cuz you know, Moon Kingdom, Moon Princess. Why the hell wouldn't that be a thing at this point? "Uhh... Moon Princess? Well, to be honest, I don't know any girl of nobility or whatever, since I'm a street rat myself. But if I really had to guess..." he trailed off a touch, pointing a finger up towards the sky. "...I'd say your best bet is to look on the moon where she rules." He knew he was pressing his luck every time he opened his mouth. But there was something inside of him compelling him to do so. As though secretly saying, "I dare you to do your worst!" without actually saying it.[break][break]
As if Nagisa weren't digging himself into a hole already, he started adding on to it after Toru had made his own snarky remarks. "He's right you know. Pacifism doesn't really fit when there's all of this uh... 'chaos' going on. Why don't we all just kick back and relax a little? Maybe talk things out? Here. I'll even show you one of my favorite magic tricks... if you're willing to entertain the idea, that is?" Nagisa was attempting to be subtle in his commitment to stalling, trying to buy time so that either he, or Toru could figure a way out of this. So he held up his arms and would show Oni both of his empty ends, soon clenching them shut, then opening them again. A pair of yo-yo's in between his index and middle fingers. Close, then open. Two more yo-yo's. Four yo-yo's placed in between his fingers on each hand. It wasn't long before he slung them up and down, up and down within his hands... before swinging them about as though they were now pairs of nunchucks. Up and over his shoulders, down and around his waist, moving faster and faster until the yo-yo's were but a blur of red, and the strings hardly visible. [break][break]
"I call this one...!" he trailed off, soon twirling on the spot and swinging one arm after the other, aiming to strike Pacifism across the temple with at least one of the yo-yo pairs. "Chuck's Out, Lights Out! I don't have a clue what you're yammering on about, but I'll be damned if I let you near my friend! And whatever this Silvery Crystal thing is, I sure as hell wouldn't give it up to someone as rotten as you! You reek of bad vibes!"

[GoogleFont=Raleway|Montserrat|Ubuntu] [attr="class","event1"] These were the children of the future? Oni, having only returned for sometime since a millennia had passed. The future had grown to be...somewhat a tad bit impressive. Beings without gifts growing a pair, and those who the Moon Princess swore to protect––no––the Earth Prince, he's truly instilled strength and bravery within them. It was ashamed all of that was overwritten by stupidity. But that was also okay! Oni enjoyed a good bit of fun, especially with the boy and his fri–oh! Well now the dots were connected. Oni wasn't as bright as the rest of his fellow allies, but he could surely add one plus one together. So sure he would play along though the duo, the knight especially, would regret tampering with a being of, and agent, of chaos. "Sure kid, show me yer trick." Oni mused before allowing his ghouls to devour the child. TAP!That was all that he heard next. The yo-yo, though hard, would only feel like a light tap to the giant brute; though it did leave a red bruise, it was rather irritating. Oni, quiet for only a minute, would merely stand tall. A smirk plaguing his face, and the palm of his left index finger would tap the side of his bruised forehead––as if he were signaling something to NAGISA YAMIGATA. "Let me explain to why I was bestowed Pacifism." Where the assault of NAGISA YAMIGATA successfully, during the boy's gloat and desire to fight alongside his friend. Nagisa would come to feel a sudden pressure resonating upon the side of his own temple, within the exact same spot which Oni had been assaulted upon. But where the assault felt like a scratch to Oni, the building bruise began to intensify upon Nagisa's own head. Feeling as though, rather than being hit by a yo-yo, it was as if he were stricken with a metal crowbar. Without so much as a sudden movement Oni would watch the reaction upon boy's face, and perhaps even listen to him screams along with it had they sounded. "Those who harm me will be met with swift pain twice––no––ten times the pain that was made for me." Grabbing the boy by the head with his bare hand and lifting him slightly above ground, he would add, "The only one who can beat me is me, not even my fellow comrades can do away with me. My power isn't to be trifled with, hell most of them hate being partnered up with me because I 'can't contain myself' as I've been told." he explained. With all of this occurring on the outside, could TORU AIHARA aid his childhood friend while caged by not only a wall of fire, but three ghouls? It would take a powerful resolve, from NAGISA YAMIGATA especially, for the little mutt to find the troubled pair. Would he continue to fight through sheer will, like that of a warrior whose will has no end like that of the sky or he would falter in the face of the enemy even if death was his only option? A predicament the duo were quite in. NAGISA YAMIGATA , TORU AIHARA MADE FOR MOONLIGHT DENSETSU |

[attr="class","susurrus"] [attr="class","jikan"] [attr="class","hiraeth"]山雨欲来风满楼 | [attr="class","achee"] [attr="class","castleonthehill"] ❝ When Toru’s father died, everyone referred to the method of his death as an “accident.” It hadn’t been. And when both of Nagisa’s parents died, theirs had also been called an “accident.” Theirs was no accident either, but, unlike Toru’s father, everyone knew that the local yakuza had been involved. Fear of reprisal effectively bought complete silence. Nagisa was Toru’s best-friend. He wanted to comfort him, understanding how unbearable the hole left behind by the unjust death of a parent felt. The sorrow. The fear. The confusion. The rage. The guilt. “Unbearable” was a gross understatement. Yet, all that he had been able to do, at the time, was to hold tightly to the other. ”You’re not alone. I’m not going anywhere.” I’ll keep you safe.It was all that Toru had tried to do over the years. Standing at his friend’s side, no matter the obstacles set before them – disgruntled boyfriends. Combative yakuza goons. Their own reckless stupidity. Together, they had always emerged victorious. A little bruised, a lot of jeering, but nonetheless the victors. This time, though, Toru felt that defeat – failure – was but a hair’s breadth away. And the fault was all his own. He couldn’t even get Ayakashi to look at him. Ruby hues only cared about Nagisa, not even swayed by Toru’s gamble at mentioning the Silver Crystal. Perhaps he was convinced that Toru was trapped by his ghouls and thus no longer a threat. Perhaps he had realized that all that Toru cared about in that moment was Nagisa, and that by inflicting pain upon the acrobatic teenager he would hurt Toru just as badly. Or perhaps he was the sort of monster who viewed all humans as scuttling insects, only delightful when squeezed beneath his heel. Toru hated him, only he hated even more how helpless Ayakashi had rendered him. He didn’t know what to do – he didn’t even know what Ayakashi even was. “A commandment of Chaos.” Chaos Toru knew, understood, but he had never before heard of that title. He had assumed that the only “servants” that his and Takeo’s ancient enemy commanded were the Youma. And, whilst Toru didn’t know what Ayakashi was, he knew what he wasn’t. No creeping tendril-like shadows, entrapping a vulnerable star-seed, was visible to Toru’s sight as he glared up at that bone-white visage. There was nothing to be seen at all, only fathomless pitch darkness where there should have been a shard of light. ”Takeo … Ares …” Toru couldn’t fight this creature alone. It was then that Nagisa struck Ayakashi, in a way. Improvising with one of his tricks, the impact of one of those spinning yo-yos connecting with bone-white flesh reached Toru’s ears, promising that the blow was anything but gentle. On another day, against a less sinister foe, Toru would have been proud. But Ayakashi didn’t so much as flinch. Yet, Toru did. After feeling the sickening pulse within the evil that Ayakashi projected, strengthening in power, in intensity, that painful chill pierced deeply, tearing where it touched. ”Nagisa!” Tearing forth from gaping sepia-hued lips, Toru all but screamed as Ayakashi did something – something that hurt Nagisa, badly. Before a skeletal hand had reached out, clutching the other by the scalp, Ayakashi held Nagisa up and off the ground, feet no longer scraping the concrete ground. ”Don’t touch him!”The ghouls standing in Toru’s way hissed viciously, making it clear what they intended to do to the Knight if he dared to act recklessly, but Toru was deaf and blind to their presence. I’m there again. That dark battleground tainted with bloodshed and betrayal. Hurt, bloodied and unable to catch his breath before another blade was swung at his throat, Toru could only struggle to keep his footing as he stood back-to-back with Venus. ”Venus, I can’t see the Prince! Where is he?!” Another blade evaded, another arrow notched and fired. Only their enemies were unceasing, endless. ”Mercury, where are you?! Jupiter!” They had all fallen one-by-one. Toru powerless against their fate. Reborn, granted a second chance, he had meant to never relive that despair again. But there he stood – powerless. Again. ”He’s got NOTHING to do with this!” Tears stung at the corners of golden hues, blazing with a maddened fury. Spilling down bronzed cheeks. ”Let him go – you – you – MONSTER!!!”Move – now. One brutal motion from Ayakashi could end Nagisa, all too easily. There was also the fire that still blazed, caging the three ghouls in with Toru, flames which he knew he had no control over, suspected were being fed, incensed by a power that wasn’t his. Ghoul or flame could promise to destroy Toru before he could even reach his friend. Unimportant. Nagisa’s safety had always been prioritized first, before his own – especially so. Move – now, Mars. No more thinking, indecisiveness, Toru allowed both his frustration and fury to spur him into motion, to drown out his weaknesses. Throwing himself forward, into a headlong barreling dash toward fire, and the three monsters which eagerly moved to engage his recklessness. Toru didn’t lift his bow nor make to draw an arrow, instead holding his right hand, bow clutched unyielding, tightly at his side. His left reached for his ofuda. Crushing the parchment within his fist, as he snarled, ”Konton Kosoku!”Pressed against Toru’s own dark complexion, the talisman, ignited by spiritual power, did not burn Toru, having no seed of chaos to exorcise from existence. But it did still unleash an unbearable radiance, blinding all intimately close to the knight within the area who weren’t prepared to look away. Dropping into a forward tumble through the caging flames, Toru rolled back onto his feet, unharmed. And with no intention to pause for breath. Instead, he resumed his furious racing, hues of living, vengeful fire were locked upon a gaze as red as rubies. A new ofuda in hand, Toru flung it at the hand which held Nagisa captive, confident that he would not miss. ”Konton Kosoku!” Bone-white flesh did not belong to Toru, and so his piercing blaze or pure white light wouldn’t be as gentle as previously, far from it. ”Go back to the void, you bastard!” |

[nospaces] [attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"]
He had managed to raze a light bruise to the giant's temple. Of course he didn't expect the yo-yo's to really do much, but he was honestly surprised he'd done anything. But then the monstrous man sneered and explained that his namesake was due to what came shortly after. What was no more than the comparison of a flick on the hand to a toddler to him, Nagisa soon felt the pain equivalent to being smacked right in the head with a crowbar. The sudden pain was jarring, his eyes dilating from the intense shock as he grit his teeth merely out of habit. It didn't stop him from groaning out in pain, but it was something instinctual he'd picked up ever since his numerous run-ins with the Yakuza. And thinking of them made memories resurface.[break][break]
He remembered it all vividly as if it had just happened yesterday. The day his parents were murdered in cold blood for standing up against the thugs who threatened to overtake and practically ruin Minato-Ku. Right before his eyes they were killed, leaving him to watch every moment of it as a constant reminder of what it was like to be considered an insect, while those with "power" stepped all over you and scraped you off of their shoes to watch you writhe. Many emotions overwhelmed him that day as he sat there crying his soul out, small hands holding onto those of his parents which no longer held any life. Sadness, confusion, fear, pain, agony... and anger. So much anger towards the Yakuza for taking his parents away, and at himself for not being able to do anything. At that time in his life, he felt he knew nothing but true and utter despair. That was until he met Toru. A boy who had suffered a similar loss with his father, and who had gone out of his way to not only comfort him in his time of need, but stuck with him ever since. He never had to do that. There was no obligation stating that Toru had to do what he did. But Nagisa was happy for it. Because now it meant he had a light to guide him through the darkness.[break][break]
A pained grunt escaped Nagisa's lips as Ayakashi took hold of his head with one massive hand, slowly lifting him off the ground to the point where his feet could no longer reach it. It hurt. God damn, did it hurt. But despite the pain that the giant was inflicting upon him, something in him was far different from those times with the Yakuza. Unlike them, he wasn't wavering. He didn't feel the fear that they had brought upon him when they killed his parents, or when they would harass him for the money he'd earned. He felt... a resolve. It was an unfamiliar feeling, because he'd always considered himself a coward when it came to the Yakuza. Always letting them beat on him so that they wouldn't... harm Toru. Whenever Toru stepped up for him, he always felt weak and helpless, like he'd never grown out of being that small child whose world had turned upside-down. But this time, things were different. Upon hearing Toru call out his name, he couldn't help but start to laugh a little bit.[break][break]
"Ha...haha...hahahaha...!" It wasn't that Nagisa was going mad, or having a mental breakdown. No. He was actually feeling rather confident. So confident that he just couldn't find a way to explain it, even to himself. Smaller hands rose up and took hold around of Ayakashi's broad wrist, managing to turn his head just enough so he could look the blood-eyed monster in the eye. "You...call this... 'pain'? Please. Compared to all of the crap Toru and I have been through... this is nothing!" His grip began to tighten, enough to where he was sure he might be causing some semblance of discomfort to Ayakashi, and in kind, felt it reflecting upon his own wrists as well. But he didn't care. His eyes were fixated upon the ogre as he continued onward. "Your moniker is 'Pacifism'? Ha! You've got a pretty skewed outlook on that word, pal! But like I said. This pain of yours pales in comparison to what I've gone through.. what I've lost... what I aspire to destroy when I rise up on my own two feet! Hahaha...! Your so-called 'pain' is nothing but a crappy joke!"[break][break]
An arm lashed out to the side before swinging forward, the yo-yo's tied to his fingers extending and looping around before tying themselves around Ayakashi's neck. By now, he could hear Toru's screams of anger and anguish on account of Nagisa himself. That only spurred the dual-colored boy to continue with what he was about to do. He'd accepted that Toru clearly had other-worldly powers of some sort. But even if the street rat didn't, he wasn't going to go down with a fight. This new feeling inside of him, compelling him to act in tandem with it all was so intense, it was borderline madness! As the yo-yo's found their mark, Nagisa swung his legs upward to wrap around Ayakashi's arm, locking his legs together and pinning his body against it while his arm pulled back as hard as it could in an attempt to strangle the man. "Burn in Hell knowing that your "pain" is nothing compared to the pain given in the game of Life!!"[break][break]
