[attr="class","afbase"] [attr="class","aftop"] [attr="class","aficon"] [attr="class","afboxbase"] sugar free ♡ [attr="class","afbox"]Maybe she should have just waited for the limousine to come and pick her up? But then again, knowing the drivers, Hyerin would have been standing around the Royal Cafe for at least another hour before anyone showed. So she made the executive decision to find her own way back to the Academy dormitories. There were a few means of transportation she could have taken. A taxi, the bus, the train. They'd probably be faster than waiting, and she wasn't above public transportation. Even though she was better than the usual civilian. So why not give it a shot? There was really nothing to lose. Well, besides direction and ending up getting lost herself. But she was willing to take the chance, Hyerin was a savvy girl. She plucked her cell phone from her briefcase like school bag and checked the time before moving out.
Hm, it was getting late. Later than she had expected. The sun had already set and there were several business men and women walking back and forth down the sidewalks. It must have been time for all the adults and parents to return home to their children and or work they brought back with them. Hyerin let a small smile tug at the corner of her lips before she turned and began strolling down the streets. Heading towards the train station.
Luckily, the dancer had already eaten and she would be fine until she reached campus. Then it would be a straight shot to her room and those delectable goodies she had stashed away. Pleated skirt of her Mugen Academy uniform blowing in the occasional breeze as she stopped at a crosswalk, Amethyst hues looked around before she followed the crowd of people to the train station. Only to stop and look at the marquee for her stop and such.
It was actually very easy to read. Just like she had expected it to be. Her index finger traced the line designated and before she knew it, the pinkette had memorized the system of trains she could use to reach Mugen Academy in optimal time. An accomplished grin and hair flip signaled her leaving the marquee and heading onto the train in question. However, upon entering, her eyes widened slightly at the sheer amount of bodies present.
This was definitely not what she expected. But then again, she hadn't really gone into this ordeal with any set idea of how many people she would see. With a small release of breath, Hyerin assimilated alongside the patrons who were standing. Looking around at the array of mothers who were lucky enough to have garnered a seat. A very small grimace on her face, she turned her attention elsewhere. Maybe the cute guy of her dreams was somewhere nea—
The train took off and her footing faltered. Causing a wobble and then bumping into a stranger. A sturdy stranger, actually. Immediately, Yeri found herself, palm to chest of a male she had never seen before. And although, the girl was usually quite confident and could recover from most 'embarrassing' situations. This one had seemed a bit too... drama-esque. And her cheeks couldn't help but emit a light pink glow.
"S-Sorry! Didn't mean to fall into you." Way to go Hyerin... It hurt to stand right now. Rikki felt that familiar burning sensation in the soles of his feet, as if the skin was being pulled taut and tight and ready to split at the seams right down the middle. But stand he must, at least until he got home and finally had a chance to sink gratefully into the threadbare armchair he'd rescued from the second-hand furniture shop. The train carriage was packed with passengers of all shapes and sizes, packed wall-to-wall like a tin of sardines. Most of the seats were taken up by pregnant mothers-to-be, a fair few seniors, even one or two folk with crutches and their leg in a cast. Rikki didn't resent this fact, but he did wish he could give his feet some relief after a long day.
Not long now, though, he kept reassuring himself. The commute from Iron Brush Studio in Roppongi back to Rikki's cramped little flat was no hop-and-skip affair, but at least he was nearing the end of it. Just a few stops in the Juban zone left, and he could count those on the fingers of one hand, if he hadn't been using it to hang doggedly off one of the overhead bars. In the other hand he clutched a cracked and crumpled coupon he'd managed to salvage from a discarded newspaper on the train out from Juban that morning. Half-price on a double cheeseburger and medium fries - it wasn't the most glamorous or, for that matter, the healthiest option on the menu, but it was affordable and Rikki's pockets were stretched enough as things stood.
Plus, after a full day of busting his chops down at the studio and having to deal with Fudou's pissy sneers all the way through, Rikki didn't have nearly enough solid fucks left to give about eating healthy. Not today, anyway. All he wanted to do was shove enough fat down his throat to fool his stomach for another night, then go home and switch off like a light.
So much for that plan.
It should be pointed out that, currently, Rikki was barely aware of his surroundings. He'd already spent about forty solid minutes in this exact same spot, sandwiched between his fellow passengers, and had by now zoned into a half-stupor that was only intermittently punctuated by the harsh melodies he was blasting into his eardrums. He didn't notice the pink-haired girl slipping between the other passengers into the gap just in front of him. When the train jerked into motion once more and the girl faltered, her hand slammed right into the center of Rikki's chest.
The collision didn't hurt one bit, nor did it even stagger him that much, but the sudden jolt made his grip on the coupon slip. Rikki's fingers closed on empty air a few times. It was no use; the tiny scrap of paper was lost among a sea of legs, and there was no getting it back now, not if he wanted to keep all his digits intact. Through the wall of wailing sound emanating from his headphones, Rikki heard the girl apologizing for falling into him.
Rikki had a few choice words clambering up his throat and bucking at his teeth to be let out, but the greater part of his irritation couldn't withstand the flushed expression on the girl's face. He forced himself to bite back the angry retort. Instead he drew a deep sigh, slowly letting the air back out through his nostrils. He tilted his head slightly to meet the girl's gaze, swaying a little with the motions of the train. "All you did was bump me a lil' bit. Don't worry about it." The phrasing was innocuous enough, but Rikki could probably be forgiven if some annoyance still bled into his tone.

[attr="class","afbase"] [attr="class","aftop"] [attr="class","aficon"] [attr="class","afboxbase"] sugar free ♡ [attr="class","afbox"]Although the male said it was nothing to worry over, Hyerin still felt as though and apology was in order. After getting a good look at the face that matched the masculine voice, the maiden found herself looking into deep pools of blue. Could this... could this be her cute K-drama moment? Was it really happening to her so quickly? Were trains really this magica—wait a second. What was she on about? Those silly cliche meetings were saved specifically for dramas. Over exaggerated instances that had slim to none chances of happening to the normal people of real life. But, then again, was she really normal? Hyerin was a pretty special girl. And she'd toot her own horn about it later.
But that was a topic for another time. For now though, she had to be sure she didn't hurt the guy and he said otherwise to protect his pride. For what it was worth, the girl believed him. He didn't even budge when she bumped into him. And her palm didn't slap against his chest with ferocity. So, maybe she could overlook asking if he was hurt? But Hyerin was sure there was something she could do or say to show her forgiveness. "You sure you didn't drop anything?" Her eyes flickered behind him, looking for some sort of sign of spilled possessions. But there was nothing in sight. She swore she saw something fall to the ground. But her attention was far from the floor and whatever belongings fell onto it.
The train came to a stop and the sea of bodies thinned out slightly. Just enough for free seats to appear. "Mm, I still feel pretty bad about bumping into you." Not to mention the subtle tone in his voice that insinuated he was upset about something. Let's see, how on earth could she manage to appease the cute stranger. Not that she was in the market for a new boyfriend, she had Toru, after all. But it never hurt to have back ups. And besides, this was just to much like a drama for her to pass up... that's when it hit her. Nimble fingers snapped and a grin crept onto her face. "If you're not busy, why don't we grab something to eat?"
Index finger raised while her other hand gripped at her hip. "Don't answer, you're coming along~ consider it a kid-napping. Well uh," The female paused to eye the stranger over once more. "This is more like an abduction I suppose. If I had to guess, you're like, what? 20?" Body leaned in for a more scrupulous look. She definitely hadn't seen him around campus before. Which was a plus! That meant she could flirt with this guy to her heart's content! Well, uh, so long as the cameras and fans don't rat her out. Oh, speaking of, he hadn't commented on who she was yet... not a fan? Even better.
Her mouth opened in an attempt to sweeten the dinner deal once more, but golden hues locked sights to a pair of open seats. "Look, two seats," index finger pointed to the pair of free spots. "We should take 'em before someone else does. That way, I um, I won't bump into you again. I'm more stable than this, I swear." Hyerin moved towards the seats, motioning for the blue eyed stranger to follow her. All in all, this did seem like a ridiculous K-Drama situation. Sadly though, if that were the case, the night would more likely than not end in some cliffhanger manner. Leaving the girl to grumble and fume about having to wait for the next installment. Mentally, the dancer sighed as she planted herself against the cushion of the seat. Oh well, at least she got to meet a prime specimen of eye candy. Even if it was just for the train ride.
Assuming he followed and sat down next to her, she would look over to him and give him a warm smile. "I haven't seen you around before, new to the city?" Hues of golden color looked his attire up and down. Seemed like an average guy. His hair was rather interesting. It made him stand out, she liked that. The same could be said for her bright trestles of pink too. "Or, are you some kinda recluse?" She'd finish with a tease and chuckle. Phone being plucked from her briefcase like book-bag. As put out as he was by the loss of his discount meal, when Rikki finally got a better look at the person who'd bumped into him he found he couldn't quite manage to look away again. There was something striking about this stranger, from her golden eyes and bubblegum pink hair, to the touch of glamour that clung to her even in a stifling crowd of sweaty train passengers. She looked faintly familiar, in fact, but Rikki just couldn't place her for the life of him. He felt a warm jolt of discomfort when he realised she was looking at him too, still, scrutinizing through narrowed lids.
Their trains of thought ran along broadly similar tracks for a few moments. Rikki wasn't exactly big on K-dramas and the like, but he knew the tropes and the cliches and this was almost like one of those moments in the movies, wasn't it? The idea made him more than a little uncomfortable. For reasons he'd never really found the need to investigate in any real depth, romance just wasn't something on the top of Rikki's priority list. A spontaneous encounter like this had never even registered on his mental radar of possibilities. The idea of some girl on the train randomly taking an interest in him, no matter how nice she might be to look at, just felt like another problem on the pile more than anything else.
At any rate, it didn't look like she was going to let the matter go any time soon. Rikki clicked his tongue impatiently. "I told you already, it's no big deal. Thanks for askin'." The more she spoke about how bad she felt about bumping into him, the less inclined he felt to be mature about it. It's the easiest frickin' thing for you to say you feel bad. Words are just wind. They don't cost nothing. I can't eat wind. As if on cue, his stomach coiled up like an anemic viper.
Before Rikki knew it, the press of bodies in the train had thinned out a fair bit. Automatically, he began to scan the carriage for vacant seats, but the girl cut across the tracks of his thoughts again with a snap of her fingers. Rikki stared into her grinning features and blinked. His brow furrowed just a bit as he looked down at her again. This was getting more and more like the aforementioned K-drama situation. Some might even interpret a proposition like this as being asked out on a date.
More importantly than any such romantic concerns, though, Rikki was fully aware that he was broke as a joke. That coupon, that one-way ticket to early cholesterol hell, reflected how far he was prepared to stretch his finances right now. If he wanted to continue sleeping with a roof over his head, that is. Any place a girl like this was likely to drag him off to was more than likely so far above his budget Rikki was liable to crack his neck trying to see it. He had to extricate himself post haste. "No thanks, I'm--"
Rikki's eyes boggled like a cartoon when the girl cut across him, insisting that he follow her without argument. She playfully suggested it to be a kidnapping, an abduction even, and gave him the once-over again, scanning him from head to toe as she speculated on his age, leaning uncomfortably close. Rikki took a deep breath. Of all the damned nuisances... "Look. It's real nice of an' all to invite for a meal, but I really can't be--"
He was cut off again by an angry, wet rumbling, which it took him a couple seconds to realise was coming from his own stomach. He looked down at the confident grin on the girl's face, touched a hand to his empty gut, and let his shoulders drop in defeat. There was no way he was making it back home without some fuel for the tank, money or no money. There would be hell to pay, literally, but for now, he had to take care of the needs of the present. His defences had crumbled like a house of cards. "Okay. I gotta eat somethin', I guess. But I can't afford anywhere too fancy."
Without further argument, he followed the girl to a pair of free seats that had miraculously appeared in the press and plopped down next to her. A sigh of relief hissed out through Rikki's clenched teeth, as he lifted his aching feet gingerly from the floor. "Aaaugh jeez. Finally. Feel like I've been on my feet all frickin' day."
In the midst of this blessed respite he heard the girl continuing on her theme of profuse apologies for the heinous faux pas of bumping into him. In spite of his current feelings on the situation, Rikki felt a crooked kind of smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. "For real, ya don't need to keep apologizin'. All you did was lose your balance. Happens all the time, you don't need to go to the length of invitin' me dinner to make up for jostlin' me, but... I don't wanna be rude, either."
There was still a significant chunk of Rikki's brain that wanted to be severely pissed at everything that was happening, but it was a little easier to ignore it when he looked at the girl's warm smile. "You could say that. Moved to Juban a few months ago from out in Greater Tokyo. Mostly commute from Juban to Roppongi and back." He felt a little self-conscious as she glanced him up and down again, taking in his uncombed air and threadbare jeans and mud-crusted shoes. "Nah. Not a recluse. Just a budding workaholic without enough hours in the day."

[attr="class","afbase"] [attr="class","aftop"] [attr="class","aficon"] [attr="class","afboxbase"] sugar free ♡ [attr="class","afbox"]The male in question came across as the working type. And by that, Hyerin meant he worked much harder than most for the essentials in life. Food, shelter, clothing; things of that nature. But of course, she could have been wrong on that assumption. She was simply basing her hypothesis off of the stomach growl and the elation fueled hiss that crept from his mouth once he finally sat down. That had prompted the smallest of giggles from her own lips. His manner of speaking was also quite appealing. She was more so used to... Well no, that wouldn't be entirely true. There was a certain someone she used to know who talked somewhat similar. Albeit, the vermilion haired acquaintance next to her had a more friendlier manner of conversing than the other. It reminded her that not everyone in this city spoke as if they were entitled and overly important.
That role was only for her to play. It was a heavy burden to bear after all, and the pinkette was built for it.
"It's no problem at all," Hyerin started, fanning off the idea that her purchasing dinner for him would be a hassle. "Your stomach seemed to be in agreement with the deal. Plus, I wouldn't mind grabbing something to snack on too. A win win." A slight tilt of her head and another smile graced her lips. His friendly and polite aura was welcomed. Maybe it was due to him not being a student at Mugen Academy? Surely, if he was, he would have gotten wind of the tyrant she could become when enraged. But if one were to ask the girl in question why she rampaged about, she would answer that it was never her fault. Rather, the others who plucked at her nerves asked for it. Deserved it even.
"Not too fancy, huh?" Index finger placed to her lower lip. "Alright then, tell ya' what." The girl was full of idea today. They just seemed to come to her back to back. And with her domineering, 'I won't take no for an answer' personality; Hyerin wasn't going to let him get away with denying any of them. One could say that the dancer was thoroughly enjoying conversing with a stranger who didn't flock to her with starstruck eyes. Or y'know, the stares of perversion. A modern gentleman, she liked those types of guys. "I'll pay. You can repay me for it later~" And queue her trademark wink and small sticking out of her tongue.
"And, since you don't wanna be rude, denying would make me sad." The pinkette's lower lip stuck out and began to quiver. Batting her eyelashes and ensuing a string puppy dog like pout. "You wouldn't want me to cry, right~?" After holding the pose for a moment or two, she broke character with a snicker. Not to toot her own horn, but she found herself to be quite the clever and wily girl. Knowing full well that she was nice on the eyes, Hyerin had learned the power of feminine wiles quite some time ago. Sadly, it hadn't been around the time she needed it most. However, she was quickly making up for it every day. Fining some way to enlist human puppets to her show. Tying strings o their joints and watching them perform to her liking. With no remorse. Well... yeah, no, rarely did she feel bad about anything. She lived under the premise that it was a dog eat dog world. And if one wasn't the toughest dog, they were liable to get bit.
"Oh, so you live around here then." Lucky him. Mugen Academy was so far away from the general public of Minato-ku. If Hyerin wanted to explore, socialize, or even shop, she would need to enlist in the help of buses, trains, limousines, or cabs. To with which, her manager constantly attempted to deter her from doing. But even he knew trying to talk the girl out of a plan she has her heart set on, was a futile effort. A waste of breath and energy. "I wish Mugen academy was a little closer." Crisp golden hues turned to look out of the windows for a moment. "It's not much to do. Well, in regards to talking to people who don't bore me to death." A sigh ensued, shoulders shrugging in tandem. "Everyone's boring as hell there. Nothing really... exciting happens." Sights turned back to the stranger. Giving his outfit the look over, toothy grin exposed.
Hyerin was an adrenaline junkie, and she had a hunch about this guy.
"A workaholic, huh? That sounds terrible." Even though she was considered one herself, the girl still managed to break away and do recreational activities. Maintain somewhat of a social life and have fun. "You at least get to go out and enjoy yourself, right?" Body leaned a bit closer to him, "Do you happen to go to the University? You look like a diligent student. And uh, a very hard worker." Manicured nail pointing to his shoes. "It'd suck if you got bags under your eyes, y'know?"
The same finger moved to point in the direction of her own eyes. "I think you're a little too handsome for those~" The pinkette nodded in a matter of fact manner. Soon realizing how rude she had been for quite some time. "Wow, I haven't even introduced myself." With a name, she could so easily track this guy down later~ "I'm Hyerin~" [attr="class","afcreds"]KOJIHIME [Googlefont=Montserrat|Roboto|Ubuntu] [newclass=.afbase]width:320px;[/newclass] [newclass=.aftop]padding:10px;border-top:#2e2e2e 5px solid;background:#ff94b2;[/newclass] [newclass=.aficon]width:105px;height:105px;padding:3px;border-left:#fafafa 4px solid;border-top:#fafafa 4px solid;border-right:#2e2e2e 4px solid;border-bottom:#2e2e2e 4px solid;background:#f2a5ab;[/newclass] [newclass=.afboxbase]background:#2e2e2e;padding:5px;border-bottom:#ff94b2 5px solid[/newclass] [newclass=.afbox]color:#fcfcfc;text-align:justify;font-family:calibri;font-size:10px;margin:30px 45px;[/newclass] [newclass=.afbox b]color:#ff82a5;font:bold 11px arial[/newclass] [newclass=.afbox a]font-family:montserrat;font-size:10px;text-transform:lowercase;[/newclass] [newclass=.afnotes]height:0px;width:320px;font-family:Ubuntu;font-size:7px;text-align:justify;color:#ffffff;background-color:#2e2e2e;overflow:hidden;transition:500ms;-webkit-transition:500ms;-moz-transition:500ms;[/newclass] [newclass=.afnotes b]color:#fcfcfc;[/newclass] [newclass=.afnotes a]font-family:century gothic;font-size:10px;text-transform:lowercase;color:#fff!important;[/newclass] [newclass=.afbase:hover .afnotes]height:60px;transition:500ms;-webkit-transition:500ms;-moz-transition:500ms;[/newclass] [newclass=.afcreds]font-family:Ubuntu;font-size:6pt;color:#2e2e2e;text-transform:uppercase;margin-bottom:-150px;[/newclass]
