[attr="class","afbase"] [attr="class","aftop"] [attr="class","aficon"] [attr="class","afboxbase"] sugar free ♡ [attr="class","afbox"] "Here's the thing about that... I don't give a fuck." The girl spoke to the being on the other line. Cellphone placed to her ear, nimble digits gripping at the device with with seemed to be a permanent scowl plastered against peach glossed over lips. "It's one fu—it's one day! ... so what? ..." lids lowered, a disinterested glare ensued as her hand moved the phone away from her ear, the male on the other end seemingly pleading his case. Loud enough to be heard by anyone who chose to eavesdrop for the sake of curiosity. "Listen," phone returned to Hyerin's ear. Her free hand stroking at a strand of pink that laid outside of her black hat. "It doesn't matter what you say, I'm still not coming. Maybe a lonely former shell of a man like yourself enjoys slaving day in and day out. But I, for one, don't." Her manager sighed on the other end. "I haven't had time to be with Toru in what feels like a week. Between dance practices, photo shoots, and his TV show; it feels like we're not even dati—forget it. Annyeong." The dancer ended the call and tucked her phone into small cross body bag she had at her hip. Sighing before letting her thumb and index finger pinch at the bridge of her nose. "Eongdeong-ie museun gotong-i issni." She mumbled to herself, shaking the negative thoughts away and turning back to set her sights towards the entrance gates. It had been quite some time since she and Toru got to spend quality time together. And as discouraging as it was, and crazy it drove her; Yeri was very well aware as to why life had thrown her such a curve ball. It didn't take a rocket science to know that dating someone famous, no matter the exposure, came with it's own follies and pitfalls. And with both of them being known to the general public, she could easily double the amount of occurrences that would get in the way of sweet free time to bask in one another's presence. Her hands clasped between another behind her back. A lone breeze of wind moving the strands of her that crept out from the hat she wore. Today, Hyerin refused to go unseen. It all seemed too familiar. It left a disgusting weight in her chest and stomach thinking about the past incident and the sequence of events that led up to the inevitable. There was also the sneaking suspicion that it had all been her fault. Had she not tried hard enough? Showed her affections in a more obvious manner? The soul of her sneaker stomped against the colorful pavement below. She detested feeling inadequate. The dancer took pride in her confidence, her cockiness, her drive to step on any and everyone to get to the top! But, no matter how much she succeeded, the one failure always reminded her she wasn't perfect. Not yet, at least. "Get over it." Her head shook, she had spent enough time sulking about a useless waste of flesh and blood. Move on. Now. Her hands reached into her purse, grabbing her compact and flipping it open to view her face over once more. The faux red glasses she wore being adjusted back onto the bridge of her nose, the lip gloss she wore still prominent, and her lashes still very butterfly like in appearance. Yeri took special measures to ensure her date with Toru went off without a hitch. Adorning a, disguise of sorts. Albeit, not the most effective disguise, Hyerin still had to look attractive. A tan light weight sweater, tucked into he pants, kept open to exposed a white midriff blouse with thin straps. A darker brown beret like hat with the added cute factor of devil horns. A pair of form fitting light wash jeans, and white low top sneakers. Oh, yeah, and the red glasses. Surely this would help her maintain secrecy while she was out on her date. She had even texted and informed the significant other in question to dress 'incognito' via text message earlier in the morning. Now all she had to do, was wait. Idly walking about the entry gate, two tickets in bracelet form resting within the safety of her pockets. Hyerin's mind began to wander. As of late, the other had been... busier than usual. What could it have been? Eyes squinted as she looked heavenward. As if the answer would be dropped down from the gods above. He still texted, emailed, and called her. But those paled in comparison to being in his arms. Being in his presence. There was just something so... warm about him. To think that she'd fall for him only to end up flat on her face? Not again. She couldn't host such emotions twice. Her scars from the last war on the battlefield of love were glacially starting to heal. Her head lowered, eyes looking straight forward before slowly closing. A shaky sigh escaping her. Relax. All men weren't the same. Toru wasn't the same. He would come. She just needed to have faith. He had some innate ability to pick out grander issues from the most minute of details. If she didn't cheer up, and do it soon, he'd be able to immediately peg her in some sort of mood. And that'd ruin the entire day she wanted. So, she spun on her heels, back facing the oncoming crowd of patrons, and began to hum one of her favorite tunes. Body swaying to the rhythm happily. She'd be fine. The thought of leaving with a large stuffed animal, and the cliche sharing of cotton candy soothed her restless spirit. It even evoked a genuine warm smile to her lips. This was her second chance. Not too many people were granted with such. And Hyerin sure as hell wasn't going to waste hers~ Her phone vibrated, breaking her from her sweet daydreams. Hand snaked the device from the safety of it's pouch, checking the time before even looking at the message. "11:11, huh?" The pinkette giggled, shutting her eyes and sending a quick wish up to the heavens. | ”Incognito.” Sepia-coloured lips had broken into an amused smile as he read part of Hyerin’s message out loud. Knowing that it, paired with being told to meet her at the Dreamland amusement park, meant that she meant for their date to be public but without fans or paparazzi stealing attention away from the other. That she wanted him more-or-less to herself. Perhaps she had started to miss his attention.
It was bittersweet. Pride and amusement tarnished by guilt. Ordinarily, they both had to work hard in order to find time in which to spend together, for their separate careers and grades were equally as demanding. Only, Toru was still struggling to juggle the responsibilities of his career and education with his duty to protect Minato-ku as Sentai Mars. And he knew that Hyerin was currently paying the cost.
Not that he could tell her that. Toru didn’t know what to tell her. Just one evasive lie after the other. A bad habit forming.
The least that he could do was to follow her instructions. Band-waisted dress-pants, in gunmetal grey, fell against the long length of his legs, slender of shape, whilst a black leather and silver-buckled belt accessorized. The over-sized hooded cardigan, worn over a V-neck short-sleeved white t-shirt, was of black wool and worn open, shirt exposed. His hoodie pulled over his head, partially obscuring the tight top-knot in which he had styled his dark hair, his sleeves both long enough to obscure most of the masculine shape of his hands, including the jeweled bracelet worn upon his right wrist. Lastly, oxford-styled shoes, of jet-black leather, clad his feet, and rounded silver-rimmed glasses completed his “disguise.”
Toru thought that he looked rather handsome, having sent Hyerin a short and simple text. Letting her know that a driver had just gotten him to Dreamland from yet another set, and that he was sorry that he had left her waiting – a small lie, his cardigan slightly ruffled from what he had actually been doing. What he couldn’t tell her about.
Ember-like hues spotted her near the diamond-encrusted front gates. With her long hair bundled beneath her beret, her outfit was effective in its purpose to make her, not a renowned model, but a regular beautiful teenage-girl, but Toru recognized the structure of her feminine form. The effortless rhythm that she found to a song that he did not hear. He had admired her from afar and within reach, so that she always had the look of a goddess, no matter the number of mortals she stood among.
For a moment longer, Toru was content to continue his silent admiration, before he continued his approach. Calling out to her, ”Rin.”
Bronzed lips composed a small smile, all soft edges. Yet, the fire, dancing within molten depths, was focused only upon her own golden hues, as he breathed, ”wow.” And moved to finalize his greeting by catching her lips with his. Soft. Tenderly chaste. It was their moment, as ephemeral as it was, and the less people intruding, with piercing invasive gazes, the better.
”So,” his smile turned teasing, as he made a short gesture towards the amusement park. ”Is this your way of telling me that you want to be treated like a princess?” | |

[attr="class","afbase"] [attr="class","aftop"] [attr="class","aficon"] [attr="class","afboxbase"] sugar free ♡ [attr="class","afbox"]Eyes slowly opened, a rather childish smile plastered on her glossed over lips. Wishing at 11:11 was a silly superstition, Hyerin was well aware. But no matter where she was, or what she was doing; if the girl caught sight to a clock that displayed the time? She would make a wish. Any wish. One of her many childish traits she hid from the public eye. Akin to how she still believed if she blew all the seeds off of a dandelion globe, the wish she thought would come true. Silly little folklore such as those were the basis of her childhood. That, and fairy tales. Her parents took turns reading story after story to her before she fell asleep. Until she grew into her teenage years. That's when she found the magic that was dramas. They soothed the blow of separated parents quite well. Especially the tales of independent women taking on the world and coming out on top without having ever become a damsel in distress. Albeit, a conflict of interest with the fairy tales she had grown up hearing before bed, Yeri assumed there was a happy medium to be found between the two. Which, after having lived through heart break and working her way to the top, seemed like a fairy tale in itself sometimes.
So she clung to the ideal that Toru would be her prince charming. The pinkette was positive he had heard the, albeit accurate, rumors of the colossal bitch she could become at the drop of a dime. But, even with the odds against her, he stuck around. Pursued her further, seemingly accepted every fla—cute mistake, she had. Could one blame her for putting her faith into him? A large portion, a great weight of her world was in the palm of his hands, and Hyerin wondered if he was even aware. She chuckled. Of course he wasn't. It's not like they had a conversation on the topic. Especially with how busy he had been as of late. Which, once again, she didn't want to blame him for. As much as it irritated her, the canceling of plans, the texts instead of calls; the dancer was well aware of his fame and what it took to remain in the limelight. It was just, sickeningly familiar. Would she have to learn yet another skill to be close to another loved one? "Hehe, it wouldn't be the first time." The maiden humored herself, letting loose a sigh and slipping her phone back into the confinements of her purse. Having forgotten to even check the message and the sender.
Hands clasped into one another, resting behind her back as she stared onward at the amusement park. The colors, the attractions, the happy faces and laughs of the patrons. Yeah, she made a good choice. Assuming everything would go off without a hitch, the couple could blend in with the rest of the crowd. Enjoying the day as 'normal' people, to some extent. Being spotted in public was nice and all, the cheers and cat calls reminded her she was still desirable. But there was something serene in being invisible. A serenity Hyerin had forgotten quite some time ago. But, as body after body simply walked past her, the girl started to recall what it was like before fame. Mm... she didn't know which she preferred. But in actuality, it didn't really matter. Like hell she would give up all she had worked so hard for. She would conquer the entertainment world. Then, she'd settle down. Maybe.
"Rin." The familiar voiced rattled the cage of butterflies within her stomach. Eyes widened with her back still turned. A small hop of her body in reaction before she spun on her heels to lock sights to the man of the hour. A sweet smile and soft gaze made up her face as he sauntered nearer. Before the dancer could speak however, peach lips were captured y matching sepia toned variants. Her eyes slowly closed, reveling in the kiss. Pouting as it ended, but giggling soon after. His lips were always soft, she liked that. Among a plethora of other facets that made up the being known as Toru. "Your incognito is still pretty business casual," Hyerin teased in jest, allowing her body to lay into his. Taking in his warmth, his smell.
Her arms instinctively wrapped around his lower torso, the perks to being shorter than your boyfriend. Her head turned outward towards the amusement park in reaction to his assumption. To with which, in reply, she simply let go of him and took a step back. Her usual gaze of stifling confidence watered down to a soft, elated gaze. "Not quite," her head shook. "This is my way of saying, I miss you." A dust of red showed upon warm cheeks. A bashfully aura about her body language. This was still very foreign to her, but she meant every word. "You can treat me like a princess any time. I just want to be with you today. Make up for lost time."
A hand reached into her purse, pulling out the pair of wristbands she had purchased. "See, I even beat you to it and bought our wristbands." Nimble fingers moved to fasten the paper accessory against her wrist. Looking it over once to assure it's accuracy and the information printed was correct. After a nod, she held out the other towards her significant other. "Gimme' your wrist? I'll put it on for you~"
The sounds of screaming from the staggeringly tall roller coaster caught her off guard. Head craning back to view the cart's decent from the sky. "Oh, I never asked if you liked roller coasters." The girl has just assumed it didn't bother him. Toru was a cool guy, he had the demeanor that insinuated he protected those around him. So Hyerin took that and ran with it. Although, if he did have a fear of heights, that'd be a cute quirk of his~ "also," an index finger moved to softly poke the other against the tip of his nose. Having had to use the help of her tiptoes to do so.
"We're not leaving until you win me a stuffed animal." Hands moved to her hips and a matter of fact nod ensued. "Consider it an apology for dodging me for the past week and a half." Eyelids lowered to a sharp glare. Only to shift back to jovial grin and teasing look. "I'll need something to cuddle with when you're not around, right?" Then came another shout of excitement from the patrons past the gates. Revving up the pinkette's engines even further. "Oooh c'mon, c'mon~! I'll let you pick what we do first if ya' hurry!"
An outstretched hand moved to take hold of his own, nimble digits interlocking and lacing with masculine variants. "Thanks for coming, by the way." Today, she would do all in her power to not act like the princess of pain, or the snobby brat she usually made herself out to be. In the back of her head, Hyerin wondered how long she could last. Towards Toru, no problem. Towards the rest of the bodies present? Sheesh...
Hopefully her wish would be heard, and granted. [attr="class","susurrus"] [attr="class","jikan"] [attr="class","hiraeth"]山雨欲来风满楼 | [attr="class","achee"] [attr="class","castleonthehill"] ❝ Hyerin’s soft lips had tasted sweet as Toru had caught her mouth using his own. A sweetness that continued to linger even after their kiss had ended. Toru found that he could not frown, not even in jest to her own teasing, he couldn’t even form a half-believable pout as he tilted his head slightly, looking down so that equally golden-bright gazes could hold one another. Hyerin being shorter than his own six-feet of height. He maneuvered the positioning of his wrists, almost entwining his arms around those which locked themselves around his lower midriff. So that he could lightly trace lines, using his fingertips, down the fair length of her wrist, in his own affectionate gesture. ”Ah, so you’ve finally learned of my shameful secret avoidance for wearing the humble t-shirt,” he joked, without any hint of actual embarrassment. ”Trust me, I look awful in one. Lucky for both of us, I don’t have the same problem with business casual.” His smile faltered, but not entirely because Hyerin broke her embrace entirely from her own volition. It was her choice of words that effectively sliced with bitter sharpness, despite – or perhaps especially because of – the careful way in which she constructed the vulnerability of her words. A heartfelt confession, followed by a subtle acknowledgment of the fault that Toru had created within their relationship. Hyerin’s words weren’t accusing or condemning. Rather she seemed uncharacteristically unsure, almost shy. Honesty that bore her heart, reaching for his kindness and reassurance, his own love. Hyerin had never addressed him before with steel in her voice, but Toru was neither deaf to what was spoken about her behavior and attitude by those with a very different experience towards his girlfriend, or blind to her capabilities. He knew that she possessed the courage and the poorly healed scars that allowed her to speak her mind without the need for filtering. That she had decided to show him her honesty with her kindness meant that she was trying – trying to make what they were to one another work. Toru had to start trying too. He couldn’t return her honesty with his own, but there had to be some sort of alternative than only allowing her to see the man that she thought that he was. Sepia-hued lips formed a pout, attempting to distract from his own insecurities. ”Ah, so bossy,” he teased, even as he offered her his right wrist just as she had requested. Winking roguishly, ”I kinda like it.” Toru thought nothing about Hyerin noticing the ruby bracelet worn upon his wrist, certainly not about her questioning the sentimental value in which he clearly held for it. After all, prior to a couple of weeks ago it hadn’t seemed to exist, and now he wore it practically all the time, no matter what the occasion. Toru had moved his right arm, examining the coloured paper nonchalantly, when Hyerin brought up roller-coasters – and the one that she specifically meant rattled noisily as it raced along twisting tracks not so far from where they both stood, the varying screams and elated laughter from its passengers was still considerably louder. ”I love roller-coasters,” he returned with a warm smile, only to laugh, a short but loud echo of amusement, as one of her delicate digits prodded the tip of his nose. ”Something large but not too cute then.” Happy to play along, Toru’s smirk was as effortless as it was mischievous. ”That way you know how much I’ve missed you but I don’t have to worry about you leaving me after realizing that – as ridiculously handsome as I am – my snug-ability is kind of subpar.”Walking together, ember-bright hues spared a glance down towards the slender shape of fingers which sought to entwine around his own, before returning to match her honeyed gaze. His smile gentle as he raised their hands, still interlaced, to his mouth. Lightly tracing the softness of his lips over the shape of her knuckles. ”Of course. You know that I’d do anything for you.”It took hardly any time for both Hyerin and Toru to move their way through the queue of other patrons eager to enter the amusement park. There was a brief moment in which Toru thought that the employer validating everyone’s tickets might have recognized him by the way in which the other had second-glanced up at him, but in the end both he and Hyerin entered the park without any further interruptions. The young starlets seemingly no different from any other couple wandering their fantasy surroundings. ”So, it’s my decision for what we do first, right.” Ember hues took their time in evaluating his options, for Dreamland was far from short in what entertainment that it offered. A rose-coloured ferris-wheel, the largest of the park’s commodity, offering a peerless and unobstructed view of the city’s skyline from its top-most vantage. An over-sized longboat, which would spin those who dared to ride it upside down at varying bursts of speed. A magical-themed merry-go-round, featuring beautifully crafted winged horses painted in almost every shade of colour imaginable. The “Candy Palace,” which was Dreamland’s own castle attraction designed to look as if it had been built from various delicious desserts. And, of course, its popular roller-coaster, which boasted a record number of dizzying loops, dips and twists. Although Toru wasn’t motivated to scare Hyerin by tackling the park’s more thrilling attractions, no matter how cute a squealing Rin might turn out to be, he couldn’t pretend that those were the rides which interested him the most. And so he led her to join the short waiting line of others brave enough to ride the looping longboat. Squeezing her hand as he grinned mischievously, ”I’ll give you my hand to squeeze if you feel like screaming.”✉ HYERIN PARK ✎ 963 words ※ sorry for how long this reply has taken |

[attr="class","afbase"] [attr="class","aftop"] [attr="class","aficon"] [attr="class","afboxbase"] sugar free ♡ [attr="class","afbox"]"Why would I want something not cute in bed with me?" The pinkette inquired with a grin lacing her lips, "That seems pretty counterproductive. And besides, no stuffed animal can take your place. It's not like I can trace their muscles while they sleep." A wink would be given towards the taller male. Her hand slowly riding to his lips and the soft kiss being pressed against her skin. The pair had started dating quite some time ago, but there were still moments where Hyerin could feel the butterflies. As if it was their first meeting all over again. The sole kiss, and the words that followed, there came a dust of pink against her cheeks and the shifting of her attention away from him. Only for a moment. Just to allow her cheeks return to their normal shade. And for her smile to cease. If that was even a possible feat around Toru. "Don't say things like that, I might have you do something outrageous."
Even if it was nothing more than an empty promise, she believed him. The rational side, the side that swore off of love for it was nothing more than pain and suffering, ceased to exist in that moment. It was all so sweet and warm. What she thought feelings of attraction should be. Her fear of being abandoned was still prevalent. But it had taken a significant blow to it's sturdiness. Although the two didn't spend ample amounts of time in each other's presence, whenever she needed him, Toru was there. Hyerin couldn't deny his loyalty. It would have been a blatant lie or metaphorical mudslinging to do so. And she knew very well, she didn't deserve him. But even if she knew it to be true, she would continue soaking up the time, his presence, all of him. Maybe this was it? The light at the end of such a long, dark, and dank tunnel. The revival of her pursuit for a happily ever after.
Maybe.
"Mhm," she nodded. "You first." Golden hues darted about behind the lenses of faux glasses. There were a plethora of attractions offered at the park. The laughter of children in various directions would insinuate that happiness could be found at every inch of the establishment. A very good sign. Personally, Hyerin wasn't one for roller coasters. She had no outright fear of them. But she always misjudged them. A drop from the ground was far different than actually being on the ride and experiencing it first hand. And she was quite the pro at psyching herself into new feats. Only to dread them mid-way. Consequently, this set the female up for a plethora of self prepared misadventures. An after having her suspicions confirmed that her boyfriend did indeed like roller coasters, the dancer knew then and there... opting out was not an option.
Her legs followed the male aimlessly. Stopping as they took their place in line. Giving the girl a chance to realize where exactly they were standing. The looping longboat. Eyelids lowered for a brief moment in time. Of course. "Huh?" The squeeze to her hand brought her out of her stupor. A smarmy grin taking over her countenance as she looked up to the dark skinned male with eyes of golden determination and iron will. "Yeah right," chest inflated and a soft humph escaped her lips. "I'm not scared of roller coasters~ this'll be nothing to me." Or so she hoped. It was nothing more than mind of matter. Thus, if she didn't mind, it didn't matter. Or, something to that effect, she hoped. Taking note to the hand that squeezed at her own, her eyes finally took notice to the bracelet that rested against his wrist.
It was a rather gaudy trinket. And, it seemed rather out of place on Toru. Not that he couldn't enjoy a fine piece of jewelry. It was just, Hyerin hadn't pegged him the type to wear them to an amusement park? Especially something that looked as intricate and expensive at that. "Where'd you get the nice bracelet?" The pinkette queried, leaning over to get a better look at the red jewel within. "Is it some sort of 'haunted' trinket?" Hyerin jested, taking a step up further in the line and wiggling her fingers about in a playful manner. "You're not going to bring some ghost here, are you? Taking it's things and just wearing them all willy nilly."
Hyerin was well aware of what Toru did for a living. Inspecting the paranormal about Minato-ku. She herself was rather interested in the myths and such. Not to a parallel degree as her mate, but well enough to indulge in his show as well as listen in to the stories. "It's not some gift from another girl, is it?" Her free hand quickly turned to a fist, resting against her waist as her head snapped towards Toru. Eyes lowered to a glare of death. Flames arising in the center of golden irises as she contemplated a witch hunt on Mugen Academy's campus. If that was the case, of course. Otherwise, she'd spare the female student body... maybe.
In the midst of her jealousy it had become the pair's turn to board the longboat. Her animosity ceased to exist as the reality of her plight became prevalent. No turning back now. With a nod, Hyerin placed a mas of courage over her face and boarded the boat. Waiting for Toru to sit next to her and the workers of the establishment to rattle off the usual rules and regulations. Secured in place, her hues darted about at the other passengers and took note to most of them being of or around her age. Okay, good. If she did slip up and scream, and they followed suite, it wouldn't be as bad.
Her mouth opened to speak. But before a syllable could even be uttered, the ride began. Slowly it began moving methodically. Lulling the girl into a false sense of security. That is, until the blunt of the ride showed itself. Her eyes shot open, widening in shock. Her body reacted to the loops before her mouth could. Stomach dropping, arms moving to latch onto Toru's "Ayaaaah!!" Her eyes shut as trestles of pink flipped and moved about in the gusts of wind kicked up by the ride. Fingers gripping at the arm of her mate for the duration of the ride.
Slowly, the longboat began to come to a glacial stop. Leaving Hyerin with rustled bangs and a blush at her cheeks. The moment the riders could make there way off of the boat, the girl quickly did so. Darting away from the ride's area before folding her arms across her chest and pouting. "I... I wasn't scared." A hand finally moved to tend to her frazzled hair that snuck out from under her hat. A hat that she had to hold onto for dear life during the ride itself. "A-anyway, it's my turn now." Anything to get her mind off of her blundering failure.
Eyes once again darted about in search of the next task. Something she could redeem herself with. That's when it came to her. "Teacups!" A smile crept onto her face as she scurried to Toru's side. Taking his hand and leading him towards the line of patron who waited. Devious plot formulating within the deep recesses of her mind. "They're always riding things like these in the dramas I watch," the girl added with a nod as the two arrived to the line. "It's a staple date attraction." An index finger held up in a matter of fact manner. "And I'm sure it won't mess up my hair anymore than the stupid boat already has..." Hands returning to stroke the strands of pink that poked out from her head wear.
