Minoru never believed in destiny, at least not for himself. The future was unknown and mixed up, so he had to create his own way. Magic seemed too good to be true when science had integrated with the bright phenomenons he used to cherish as a kid. But it was exactly like magic for why he was attracted so much to Toru Aihara. He passed it off as just because of Toru’s glittering reputation, good looks, and charming personality, but he knew what it was like to feel only attraction and nothing else. It was probably only his strange mind at work when he was younger.
A flood of people shot out of the overstuffed trains once the doors opened. Minoru could let himself be swept away by the tide and be drowned in how neverending the amount of people could be. There were girls rushing for dates, businessmen(the scary ones), old women, and fierce ladies. Unluckily, Minoru had been saddled in between the worst smelling businessmen probably in the entire world. Once a diverging path had appeared, Minoru was able to scamper towards the bathrooms. He tried his best not to make sure the smell hadn’t rubbed off on him(it hadn’t, but anxiety constantly teased and chided that it had), and he put on just the slightest bit of mint-scented body spray. His weight shifted from one boot to the other, quiet clacking on the bathroom tiles as he fixed up his hair to look just as he wanted to.
In order to avoid any scandal he had taken to wearing a face mask today as well as a light pink hoodie that hid most of his short hair. That should be enough to put in pictures so they wouldn’t be worth any attention. Toru was more famous than he was and it would be such a mess if he were caught going out with a guy. Minoru was fine with it anyway, it was a small price to pay for spending one of his rare free spots in his schedule with his senpai.
It was ironic, and mostly unplanned, that a professional ice skater would spend their time off at another ice rink. This was the perfect chance to show off his good side! Maybe a few of his simple tricks could entice the other until he couldn’t control himself, that would be a sight. An unlikely sight, but a nice thing to dream about. There was many groups of people, big and small, a bit older and much younger, male and female, and then him. Sadly lonesome, he leaned on a wall near the entrance, trying not to look like he was waiting for anybody even though he definitely was. His hand couldn’t help but be drawn to his phone a couple times Just to see if there was a text from...anyone. | It wasn’t often that Minoru asked him out. With his career as a professional ice-skater having taken off, his schedule outside of class was every bit as demanding as Toru’s was, perhaps even more so. Physical training required a great many more hours than memorizing a script.
Usually, they had to settle for catching-up in-between and after the conclusion of their classes, sometimes sharing the odd lunch. So Toru had immediately accepted when Minoru had suggested an evening ice-skating at the Shiba-Koen ice-rink, not caring how much shuffling to his schedule would be necessary in order to find the time. A break from fighting constant Yoma was needed.
Besides, Toru had never gone skating before. Perhaps he might even be a natural on the ice, impressing Minoru with his graceful dexterity?
He had gone and purchased his own figure-skates in advance, but still ended up running at least ten minutes later than what he had agreed to with Minoru. It was entirely Toru’s fault … more-or-less. His afternoon had been strictly organized around a journalistic interview that Toru’s manager had set-up, meant to highlight Okaruto’s current successes and what future that Toru could perceive for his talent, only Toru had failed to turn up on time. And, determined to make-up for time lost, the interview had cut into time that Toru had intended to be spent with Minoru. In fact, Toru hadn’t realized just how late he was until he had strolled into the establishment’s foyer and caught a glimpse of a clock, hung from a wall.
For a moment, Toru debated on sending the other a quick apologetic text, but concluded that doing so would have been a waste, as he would see that familiar bob of ashen hair in another minute or so. At least he had thought to pull a beanie over his shoulder-length raven-and-red hair before he had left his driver. There hadn’t been any time to revisit the wardrobe department once his interview had concluded, and so Toru was garbed similarly to the dark garments that had become his notable choice of style, at least whilst on television.
Charcoal-black denim pants, as tight as a second layering of skin. Worn with black combat-boots, a loose sable turtleneck-sweater, a dark-brown overcoat, left unbuttoned, and his ruby-gemstone golden bracelet finished his attire. The beanie would have to serve as his disguise, as simplistic as it was.
He didn’t spot Minoru straight away. Both pink hoodie and mask really did cause him to blend quite effectively. Yet, when he did, he was quick to approach the other, leaving the lobby at a light jog. ”Argh, I know, I’m unfashionably late,” he admitted, bronzed lips offering an apologetic smile. ”As repentance I’m willing to do whatever you want. Truly. Just name it.”
