She was still trying to determine how her week had transpired into what it did. Since the incident at the planetarium, Ume locked herself away in her family home and missed her classes for the rest of the week. Call it panic, or perhaps trying to understand what exactly happened to her, but the feeling was a rush and it was one that she didn't quite have a handle on. Meeting with Orihime, formally, had changed everything about her. It opened her eyes. She was reminded that there was life that transcended that of what the human mind was incapable of thinking on. It was destiny that Orihime had been assigned as her partner for the Science exhibit. It was destiny that Takeo came into her life, and had she been in her right mind she would have thought the mission as a prelude to the incidents that had occurred leading up to their fight in the planetarium. This was another piece of the puzzle that had fallen into place in her life, and she was trying to make sense of the memories and the things that she'd found herself dreaming about at night since that night. She was positively distracted, and she needed this time for herself. Time for herself, however, meant absolutely nothing according to the Knight of Venus and her best friend. Their dynamic was different than the one she wanted to start developing with Tsuki and Orihime. The inner senshi were a team, and she had a duty to Sailor Moon that she felt herself incapable of denying or ignoring. Each day that she wasn't with Orihime or Tsuki, there was a feeling and sense of worry. Some part of her couldn't shake away the sensation that she often times felt when she tried to ignore the events that happened. Instead, when night fell, she wanted to get out there and leap by rooftop to combat the chaos that threatened to overcome Tokyo.. and there was chaos amuck. She felt it at the most random of times, and yet she couldn't place it at all in any sense of the word. Regardless, she knew that there was a dangerous threat that was thriving from within the city and that called more to the tasks of Sailor Venus. The instincts that drove the warrior condemned all doubt that she harbored about her life that she lived normally just a week prior. That life was over for her. She had been awakened and condemned to a life strife with danger once again. Once again, Ume had lost control of her own life and the moment that she set foot inside of the Royal Crown, she had complete understanding in why TAKEO AIKO wanted her to come here of all places. Because it was a Saturday, all schools did not hold session today. The students and youth were free to their own devices. When she walked home, she always passed the area up and often times contemplated just going in.. even if it was for the sweet temptation from their fruit parlor. Today, today was indeed a lucky day for her. She had reason to come and indulge every vice that her human parents shyed her away from. She was free to indulge the video games, and the fun with the mass bunch of youths that were out and about on this day and spending their day here trying to forget their studies. When she entered the establishment, her vividly green eyes danced throughout the establishment. She'd known Takeo was going to be late, but she was hoping in the by chance that he might have been early. Of course he wasn't early. Somehow, fashionably late seemed to fit her comrade. Regardless, taking in the sight of everyone moving about and the business brimming with energy as it most often was, she turned to make her way towards a service counter with a register.. her hands dusting at the outfit that she'd been wearing. Lifting her right hand, she raked her fingers through her long brown hair and tossed it over her shoulder rather casually.. a stark contrast to the cropped, short hair she'd had last week. It was a constant reminder of what had happened to her, but regardless she left it alone instead of chopping it all off again. When she approached the counter, she let her soft hands rest upon the top and gave one of the employees at the Royal Crown a partially charismatic smile that reached her eyes. " You wouldn't by chance know how I could go about getting a pool table would you?" It was a genuine question. Ume had not the slightest idea about how to play an actual video game. However, pool did interest her. Perhaps it was the geometrical inner workings of the game that caught her attention and now she'd have the chance to putting a subject in school that she excelled in to the test. ---- tag: RAIDEN BALAUR , invite only. ooc: so going to try something different here.. this thread will start with just raiden and ume.. and maybe later a few more will be able to join per request depending upon how these interactions go with the two featured here. fun times ~ (: ume's outfit and accessories for the lovely weekend can be found H E R E

-- Stand tall, never fall ! Tensions were at an all time high as joysticks flicked and buttons were pressed with swift reflexes and extreme precision. A miniature mob gathered around the game being played as two combatants fought it out for the title. Raiden Balaur was one of these combatants, and the combos input were practically second nature to the aspiring entrepreneur. His opponent, albeit amazing at the game in question, continued to fall under the pressure. Raiden took that to his advantage and added further pressure via gameplay. Perfect round after perfect round he obtained time and time again. Those around grew rowdy with cheers and chants. The final match, The King of Games went all out—effortlessly executing a 250 hit combo; fingers moving so fast if one had blinked, they would have missed it all. The entire establishment piratical rattled like an earthquake had taken place from the sky-high hype levels, but Raiden would have it no other way. " Concession's on the tab of the Royal Crown. Enjoy yourselves." He announced to those around him—a friend would tell a friend and so on and so forth. After the epic battle, Raiden departed from the arcade machine with full intentions on heading back to his office. Slow steps carried him forward, grayish eyes fixed on his smartphone; checking the Royal Crown's social media to make sure people were happy with his services. In the midst's of an relaxed pace, he'd stop dead in his tracks—behind a female seeking assistance from one of his employees. Said employ laid eyes upon Raiden; for he is extremely hard to miss, and allowed their employer to take it from there. " The table is already yours." Raiden spoke, attempting to make his presence known. " Get her some billiards." He told to the employee who was already on it post-haste. Eyes back upon the female, he bestowed a warm grin upon her, gesturing for her to follow if she would. " I'll lead you over to the tables if you will follow me, ma'am." Words continued without missing a beat, " I don't recognize you. Is this your first time here?" |

Ume expected the establishment to be louder than normal considering it was the weekend. Again, this wasn't a place that she had the luxury of visiting before, but when she passed by there were all sorts of musical sounds and effects that chimed from the sliding doors that allowed outsiders entrance. But today, actually having the chance to be inside of the establishment, it was louder than normal and that could have easily been attributed to the group of bodies gathered around two males playing to their hearts content at a gaming station. The clerk had mentioned being able to assist her, but she missed his following words because her attention was drawn to the group that was gathered and cheering. It must have been a good match, because she was most certainly feeding off of the happiness and the excitement of the people that were gathered around. It felt great, and for a moment it was as if she was able to forget the voices that whispered to her thoughts and the warrior's spirit that dwelled deep within everything that she was. The thoughts were silenced, but that didn't mean that her guard would drop. When she finally had grown tired of watching the backs of a crowd that had been the cause for commotion on this particular afternoon, she turned her attention back to the clerk behind the counter to give him her undivided attention. The clerk's words were then drowned out heavily by the eruption of cheers and chants. Ume continued to simply smile however, nevermind the fact that she would have to wait to hear what he'd said again. But something about the male had stopped, he didn't continue. Instead his eyes traveled behind her and for a moment Ume's smile faultered into an inquisitve look. Her slender brow lifted curiously, and as she craned her head to the side trying to understand through his eyes what he was looking at it, the sound of a male voice speaking out to her from behind caused her to blink casually. Turning slowly to cast a cast a glance over her shoulder, her eyes took in the sight of a young man with dark skin complexion. His melanin was eye catching in the sense that he looked exotic, and very comfortable in his current surroundings. She wondered if he was simply a kind gentleman that was offering to take care of her pool table for her, but by the way that he had instructed the clerk to get her some billiards, she had to assume that he was someone who worked here.. or owned the establishment. She didn't question, Ume simply observed. This was the first impression that he was managing to make on her and that was enough to make her smile return again in a coy fashion. " Y-yes.. this is my first time.." She admitted with a confident, yet soft tone. It was a confidence the man wouldn't have known just a week prior. If anything, she would have been trying to hide the hint of blush that darkened her cheeks. She didn't. When he began to lead her towards the table, she took any items that were given to her from the clerk, but she didn't take her eyes away from the young man that was helping her. Her mind honed in on the fact that he regarded her as a ma'am, and she had to take a moment to look down at herself. She cringed. Surely her outfit didn't look that bad.. or aged. She mentally cursed Takeo and wondered if this outfit made her look like a grandmother. " I'll follow.. but only if you call me Ume!" She let a nervous laugh escape her lips, the sound like silk as she moved in stride behind him. " And not ma'am.. no need to be so formal. You'll make a girl question her age." Upon approaching the table that he was taking her to, she set her purse down atop of it along with the items needed for the table. She knew not what to do with any of them, Takeo would likely beat her in this game when he arrived. " Mato-Azabu High School.. third year..~" She finally chimed with pride, a nod of her head in innocence, and she bowed her head politely. Of course, she didn't think to ask him his name because she was too concerned with looking at such an attractive face. If there was one thing to be said about Ume, it was not that she was shy around boys. That was hardly the case. She had the luxury of having an interest in boys before, even if she wasn't always honest with her parents about them. Most of the time they were just simply friends or partners she shared on a project. However, there was nothing that she needed to hide anymore. Her father very rarely returned but a few times throughout the year, and her mother had passed away. But that life.. that life that she lived before, it seemed so trivial to her now the more time she spent thinking about her real memories. The simplicity of the human life she lived now mattered little anymore, but somehow the Soldier of Love and Beauty still had a heart that beat for a handsome face. At least she had some sort of company, it would seem, while she waited for her dearest friend to arrive at the Royal Crown. He told her to come here, and she wondered why he'd been holding out on her about the gaming king that stood before her boasting an almost charismatic charm that kept her smile obvious, genuine, and inviting.

-- Stand tall, never fall ! Grayish hues hid behind eyelids in the forms of a quick session of blinks. He was slightly confused, taken back by the females initial response—he made a mental note about this one; refrain from using proper formalities. " Ume it is then." He continued to gesture for her to follow him, a simple wave of the arm to signify this. " Forgive me. I'm so accustom to speaking with concerned parents about why their children spend too much time here and not enough time with their nose in the text books. The 'ma'ams' and the 'sirs' are practically second nature at this point." He paused for a fraction of a second, arriving to the nearest billiard table and proceeding to help the girl setup her game. " But i'm working on it, y'know? And, if it amounts to anything, I can tell you're no older than me." He focused primarily on setting up the table, hands moving with the precision of a man who has done this many times before. Silver eyes locked on Ume mid way through the set-up, a warming smile bestowed upon her. " Mato-Azabu? Heh, fancy." Raiden began chalking up the sticks, one at a time, a pair; because a pretty girl such as herself surly couldn't have been here alone, right? " Raiden... Jūban Municipal. Junior...?" He attempted to mimic the way she gave basic information. For the most part he nailed it, but the questionable tone he carried was more than obvious, it was even plastered upon an ebon visage; he looked almost confused, almost as if he didn't know what damn grade he was in. " Anyways. If this is truly your first time here. I do hope you enjoy your evening, Ume. Food and drink are on the house; courtesy of the staff and myself." Looking over the table one final time, he grinned; amazed at how fast he got everything in a playable state " Uh. I guess I'll leave you alone now." Silver eyes leered deeply into green ones before Raiden bowed his head ever so softly. " I'll see you around, yeah?" And with that, he began to walk away; hands stuffed in bomber pockets with amble steps. |

Ume had taken a moment to analyze her general surroundings. The Royal Crown was a little more than what she'd thought it would be. It was lively, brimming with a positive energy of teenagers simply having fun. There were youths, boys and girls, all in her age gap that seem to be enjoying the company of one another. But what was, perhaps, different was the fact that this seemed to be neutral grounds for everyone. T*A Girls Academy was here, to which she rolled her eyes. Mugen Academy students.. another eye roll.. Jūban Municipal, fairly pleasant students, and other familiar faces she might have actually seen in passing at Mato-Azabu High School. She didn't know much about Gohongi #1 Academy, but she knew that it was an all boy's school. Of course, she'd never been to their campus, but she was certain that there were a greater deal of them here. However, because it was Saturday it was harder for her to discern who attended what school. Regardless, people watching seemed to come second nature to her and now there was a reason for that. While Ume managed to save face by smiling here and there when she could, her eyes were really observnig behaviors because she still hadn't completely grasped the reigns of what truly shaped a Youma. Dark, evil energy corrupted their souls yes.. but all that she had known was that they could attack anywhere. She was more alert than ever now, and she had Sailor Venus to thank. Her company apologized, after confirming her name. She laughed to make light of something so trivial. In her voice, there'd been jest, but she could understand where that might have been difficult to pick up on. Afterall, though he hid it well, she was well aware that there might have been something on his mind. Every word that the boy had spoken to her, she managed to cling to in understanding. She snatched her purse off the billiards table and set it upon a small table that were for any drinks or items that youths might have brought with them. At this particular small table, closest to the billiards table, there were two seats that obviously appeared to be spectator seats. She figured since no one was using it, it was as perfect of a spot as any. When he called her school fancy, she admittedly gave a small nod of her head. " Not as fancy as Mugen, however." Came her almost, immediate, response. In some ways, the academic nerd in her was quite envious of being rejected during her first year. This was around the time that her mother had passed. She was not exuberant, and her grades weren't the best then. But Mato-Azabu High School had seen through that. They understood what it was that she was capable of, and in some ways she promised herself and her father that she would excell and get over the loss of her mother. Her education needed to continue. Lacing her fingers together in a coy manner behind her back, she continued to watch him add chalk? To what seemed to be the end of the pool sticks, and she lifted an eyebrow. She'd had a question about the game overall, but she didn't interrupt his giving her his name and the school he'd gone to. The look he had seemed a little confusing to her, but she downplayed it for the time being. Instead, the moment that he began to dismiss himself from her presence she felt her smile faulter just a tad. He'd made sure to take care of all accomodations for her, which said a great deal about his character and the impression she'd clearly had on him. Perhaps she needed to express similar sentiments about the impression he'd made on her? This heart beat she boasted watching him walk away caused her breath to hitch within her chest for a moment and she drummed her fingers nervously from behind her back. Swallowing her nervousness, remembering some well placed lectures from Takeo, she released her hands and placed her left on the curve of her hip. " ..well.. Raiden.. you COULD leave me here to wait for my friend all alone..." She managed to say casually, loud enough for him to hear. " ..o-or.. you could just join me for the afternoon... unless business calls. Besides, I've never played on a Billiard's table before.. how else am I to learn?" Her voice piqued with innocent, cute curiosity. This was his invitation to join her and whoever it was that she was waiting for. There was something bewitching in her tone, the way that each dulcet dripped with interest in having him teach her. A smirk settled in rather nicely at the corner of her lips, and while she was trying to be tasteful in her subtle flirting, if he was smart she knew that he would turn around. Fortune favored the bold, and as she reached out with her right hand to snatch a pool stick up from the table, she turned so that only the profile of her visage could be seen if he looked in her direction. Letting her hand fall from her hips, she turn her back completely to him and glanced at the balls that were set up on the table and then the pool stick with a blank stare. The basics of the game was Geometry. If she could figure out the basics of the rules, then she was certain that she would have the game down to the very letter.

-- Stand tall, never fall ! " You don't know how to play?" He turned around to face the female in question, noticing she had already taken a puesdo-initiative in learning how to play." It'd be my honor to teach you." He said, taking a position by her side before reaching for the second playing stick. " Pretty girls typically aren't the ones that are waiting." He said aloud, inner thoughts aired for all to hear. " Seems almost backwards." Added words to concluded blurted thoughts, as he reached for the cream colored billiard ball. Extending an a full length, he scooped up the billiard, and aligned it across the table to where the white billiard would be aimed directly at the triangle formation of the other racked billiard balls. " The game itself is fairly simple. Easy to pick up, hard to master, y'know?" Raiden said, taking a few steps off to the side and calling Ume over to get some hands on experience. " First things first. We need to break that little triangle formation across the way. The way you do that is by taking your cue stick, aiming it behind this little white ball right here, and shooting it forward. Best way to break the formation is to aim for the tip of the triangle." As he gave instructions, he demonstrated slowly; action by action, step by step, and motion by motion. He remained bent over the table and pretended to take the shot. " The stroke is important. Each person has a stroke that works for them, that is something you're going to have to discover yourself." Raiden came back up, took a few steps back, and gestured for Ume to give it a go. " Go ahead. Give it a try. I'm right here." He reassured the girl with a smile exposing pearly white teeth. |

The fact that she didn't know how to play seemed to garner his attention. When he'd found his way back to her side, she cast her green eyes towards him with an innocent smile. He was polite for a boy his age. The fact that he was likely about seventeen or eighteen meant that his raising had to be a little different from most boys his age. Usually, they were so forceful in their pursuit. It was never her on the receiving end, but sometimes she'd see the girls getting pursued at her school and actually enjoying an aggressive chase or guys going out of their way to impose themselves. Sometimes, Ume viewed it as a game of cat and mouse. It was the type of attention that she didn't want from a boy. This interest that she was increasingly developing for Raiden, however, seemed very natural. Cupid's arrow must have worked wonders, or perhaps it was the fact that she was really from another planet.. one of Love and Beauty.. that seemed to be her driving grace. That reinstilled within her the fact that it was okay to tap into those feelings that were associated with love and beauty. Ume, prior to a few days ago, had sworn to herself that boys would never be of an interest to her again and yet there was something about the owner of the Royal Crown that just seemed to call to her to her more inquisitive nature. Perhaps it was in his eyes, and the way in which he carried himself. He was right, however. Pretty girls weren't the ones that were usually waiting, and that much she agreed to with a nod. " Very perceptive of you.." She stated casually, her green eyes traveling to those that were around them. She hadn't noticed before, but he seemed to be someone who simply garnered attention within this establishment. With the crowd that he'd had around him when she entered, it didn't surprise her that people were watching him as he began to set up the billiards to be shot with a pool stick. Taking a step back, she watched him as he went about explaining the game to her. The instructions were basically broken down for her, and that was enough for her to smile as she let her eyes genuinely travel to the table and the billiards balls that were organized into a triangle with the cue ball poised for shooting after his mock attempt to show her what she needed to do. " Sounds easy enough." Of course, "easy" was more said than done. When he motioned for her to give it a try, she gave a somewhat nervous smile in his direction and then took the time to fully break down her cue stick to its full length. It stood out against her shorter height as she held it in her right hand like that of someone who was meant to be a pro. She looked down at the cue ball, and then to Raiden once more with a smile. " Your fans are watching." She managed to say, despite the fact that she didn't let on that she was analyzing her surroundings. Casually, she stepped closer to the table, and with her left hand she flattened the back of her skirt she'd been wearing in a lady like fashion. With careful intent, she bent herself over the table to take the poise that he did when he was showing her. " Might as well give them a show here as well, right? The dashing "King of Games" saving a damsel in distress from hitting herself with a pool cue." Casual conversation because she wanted to know more about him. The conversation didn't have to be all instructions. Without realizing it, she'd stated his nickname in passing without realizing it was his nickname. She didn't follow games, but it was more of how she perceived him to be in this establishment. Regardless, she pulled the cue stick back with her right hand, letting it slide through the index finger and thumb of her left hand.. and with a sharp swiftness she struck the cue ball with precision, her green eyes widening as she watched the ball shoot across the table with enough force to cause a resounding *CRACK* to echo throughout the vicinity and send the colorful array of billiards balls across the table at every angle. A yellow solid ( 1 ) and an orange stripe ( 13 ) found their homes in the middle left pocket, and the right corner pocket. Leaping from her bent position along the table, she gave off a soft laughter of excitement.

-- Stand tall, never fall ! He had grown accustom to the mob of onlookers that gathered whenever a soul openly challenged The King of Games. It has gotten to the point where he couldn't even partake in a friendly match of just about anything without the whispers of a challenger traveling through the entire establishment like a chilled breeze. So, when the female mentioned something about 'fans', he blinked a couple of times—confusion upon an ebon visage. With a slight turn to the left, Raiden laid eyes on these so called 'fans'; a sheepish chuckle ejecting from pump lips as humility coated his following words. " I believe they are bigger fans of you than myself." Turning away from Ume, he slyly waved for the still-growing group to disperse with haste. But try as he may, strength in numbers held a potent effect, and they outnumbered the proclaimed 'King' greatly. Exhaling a sigh, free digits pinched the bridge of the nose in tandem. While doing this, Ume spoke—Raiden spun around to focus upon her words. He laughed for the umpteenth time and retorted with words slicker than butter. " Damsel? I think not. Besides, you seem to be handling yourself much better than I could have ever anticipated. You mimic my stance almost flawlessly." He praised with a hint of enthusiasm behind a deep tone. With a large portion of his weight fixed upon the pool cue in his grip, Raiden watched her next actions closely—analytical eyes deciphering every frame that transpired. " Take the shot. I think you got it." He encouraged with a smile. It was like music to his ears, that resonating trademarked sound of a great break. He nodded as the billiards bounced and rolled like a giant game of colorful pinball. However, instead of sinking one billiard, she sunk two. The ever growing mob whispering at the unforeseen accomplishment of the newcomer. " Nice." A single word with a high level of excitement fell from the boy. " Seeing how you made both a solid and a stripe. You now get to pick which one it is you wish to focus on. Whichever one you don't pick, is the one I have to focus on." As he explained, the two balls rolled down the inner incline of the table and rested in the main center pocket for easy access when the game was finished. " Now you use the same billiard hit and try to sink as many stripe or solid billiards as you can. But avoid the eight ball; that's the solid black one. That is the last one either of us can hit once our board is clear. Sink it before the board is clear and it is an automatic lose." He took a few steps back, " feel free to stroll around the table and weigh your options. I suggest you do that before picking stripes or solids." |

It was strange, imagining that people may have actually been giving her attention. Ume had never been the popular sort, and even if she had been she likely would have never noticed anything about it. The affections of others were something that she had to stop seeking validation from. Other's attention making her feel good, and lift herself up. She understood that this was what most girls looked for when it came to being seen. Idols, people of that nature. When she reflected, she could only think about how much her mother did not want her to be like those people and so that side of her life was something that she was incapable of experiencing. What, however, triggered something within her from his words was the fact that he mentioned that they were likely acknowledging her. It caused her to cast her green eyes towards the crowd of people that was steadily growing. Of course, some eyes were on her and she wondered what they were whispering about, but then again she pretended as if she and her handsome company were the only two in the vicinity. No one else mattered in this instance, but still his words set within the back of her head. The thought of so many people watching her didn't particularly unnerve her, versus merely bringing about a sense of familiarity that she'd acquired from awakening as Sailor Venus. She was the Princess of a kingdom in her own right. A leader to Venusians everywhere.. this type of attention was commonplace. She wondered if there were others out there, dormant, sleeping as she once had been. Despite these distant thoughts, her focus remained on the game at hand and her company. Occasionally, Raiden might have been able to pick up how her eyes would seemingly grow distant on a whim. Almost as if certain comments, or situations spurred something that caused her to recall distant memories that were unbeknowist to him. For a moment, she often times left her current surroundings to think about her life during the Silver Millennium, and that was mostly how the past few days had gone for her. She was certain that the only reason that she was she was able to make the shot was because he managed to coerce her into taking it at the right moment, and his guidance was the only reason that she was capable of pulling herself away from her thoughts to truly focus on the attention he was providing her. The rules to the game were simple at this point, was what she'd heard fall from his lips. She'd had the choice of choosing between solids and stripes, and Ume's green eyes traveled to the balls on the table. In equal amounts, solids and stripes seemed to match. " Solids or stripes.." Was the only thing she managed to say rather casually as she tucked a strand of brown hair behind her ears. With the pool cue gripped tightly by the dainty fingers of her right hand, she took his advice and began to circle the table at a slow motion. " I suppose now.. it's about angles.. Geometry.. I'm a bit of a math nerd." She commented in curiosity. It could have been a question, but she confirmed it by the way that she tossed the pool cue up and caught the base with her right hand. She extended the cue towards one of the solids on the opposite side of the table in conjunction to the cue ball and another solid. " Solids, by the way.." Was the only thing that she managed to say in continuation to a confession about herself, claiming her choice for this particular game. Stay away from the eight ball he said. The bad, black eight ball. It was reserved for the last shot, the one that she wanted to try and sink into oblivion. " So what warrants me such special attention from the illustrious owner of this fine establishment?" It was a question that she couldn't help but to ask. Surely there were other things that Raiden could have been doing at this point in time. He was the owner of the Royal Crown it would seem, or the manager. Either way, she was certain that there were other things he could have been doing, but she was certain that she really wanted to cut to the chase. In her eyes, she was only a normal girl. But deep within her, she wasn't even certain that she could call herself that anymore. She wasn't normal, and she was no ordinary girl. Bending just slightly from the right side of the table and near the cue ball, she took aim and shot it towards the table's right side pocket where it bounced from the sharp edge of the pocket instead of entering and shot between a few balls towards a solid that was sitting in the top left corner of the table. In mathematics, she was certain it would have been called an "obtuse triangle". ---- tag: RAIDEN BALAUR , invite only. ooc: oh but he's playing a math nerd.

-- Stand tall, never fall ! " A bit of a math nerd, she says. I think I may have been played, just a little." He commented with subtle laughter accompanied by friendly laughter. " Solids. Good choice." Another comment following the subtle laughter, gray eyes examining the pool table. Before Ume took her following shot, a question flowed ever so easily from her lips. A question Raiden already had the answer too, but opted to explain himself after she took her move—too minimize as many distractions as possible. However, before she made her next actions. Raiden had already seen the outcome of her shot—he knew her calculations were slightly off. Regardless, he held his tongue, merely watching as kinetic energy and math did what it did best. " Stripes." He called out, a slow stroll around the table one time as he thoroughly examined what it was he was working with on his end. " There is really nothing special about me giving you this one on one session, Ume." The honesty flowing from full-lips with ease and charm. " I value first impressions greatly. Seeing how this is your first time here, I took it upon myself to make sure you enjoy your stay to the fullest potential. Even if you never return; at least we both can honestly say we had a good time, right?" Words ceased for a moment, Raiden lined up a shoot—the cue ball being aimed directly at the solid 8 billard. " Plus, it'd be extremely backwards if I allowed such a pretty girl to wait without any company." With a stroke oozing with confidence, the dreaded eight ball propelled forward the very moment the cue ball cracked against it. The black billard shot across the table at an angle, squeezing between any other billard before colliding into the striped 15 billard. The 15 found itself pushed into a pocket with the eight ball bouncing off the wall of the table and rolling to a complete stop. " Maybe you can use your new found skills to beat your friend at pool for making you wait, yeah?" He suggested with that same carefree smile. ★ UME KOZAKURA . as i type this: my entire leg fell asleep on some "lol u thought u wuz getting up to walk" type shit. no bueno . |

He seemed shocked by The innocence to her eyes held no shame in regards to this little game they were playing. Raiden didn't know her all that well. It was evident in the way that he laughed at the thought of being "played". She craned her head to the side, opting to analyze exactly what was being said and she giggled softly. Her right hand drew up and covered her lips and she lifted her head in almost clueless manner as a trademark blink followed. " Me? Never. You'd be surprised how quick I am to adapt to my surroundings and pick up on new interests." She admitted something about herself to him. Ume had never been the type to boast, but what could she say? If all that Billiards had been was simply Geometry, then she would be a natural at this. Of course, she didn't feel as if she had to explain that to Raiden. He seemed to be able very quick to pick up on things about her. So far, he was doing swimmingly in meshing with her dynamic and she was adapting to his. The Royal Crown wasn't so much of a bad place. She could see where this would be like something of a "kingdom" to the King of Games. He didn't object to the nickname that she'd called him by chance, which meant that it must have been true. In alot of ways she'd meant what she said. The looks weren't bothering her so much anymore, because some part of her enjoyed the attention. She would have never admitted it aloud, but to know that she was so much more than the average girl gave her a little bout of confidence that came with the perks of having gained "new found sight". Being Sailor Venus was something of a pleasure that Ume was losing herself to everyday. The things that the warrior craved, that the warrior desired seemed to be the courage booster that Ume needed because even as she stood a few feet away from her male company, there was just something about her that simply radiated beauty. Her movements were smooth as silk, effeminate and coy, and her charisma didn't seem forced. Everything was natural. Ume was comfortable. Seeing the world through the eyes of a warrior held its perks, and it was in these moments that Ume understood the fragmented pieces of her past life. The sense of royalty that was so innate to her made more sense everyday, and attention was expected of someone of her caliber. What she perhaps admired most about Raiden was the simple fact that he radiated something similar in his domain. Her green eyes leveled with his own as he talked, but mostly in occasion she'd found herself scanning the billiard balls on the table and the way that he maneuvered when his dominance started to show in light of the realization that she really was good at math and Geometry just so happened to hold a specific place in her heart. The warrior in her didn't object to this notion either. Both Ume and Sailor Venus held a keen eye for angles. Leaning back on one of the chairs as he spoke out about the generosity that he was showing her, she gave a simple nod of her head at the realization that he really was a nice guy. That wasn't exactly what she was looking for, though she said nothing. What she heard, however, was that he thought her pretty. That brought a little blush to her cheeks and she lowered her eyes shyly, missing his shot completely. Out of the corner of her eyes she saw him move, so she only watched the tail end of him sinking the fifteen into one of the pockets. When he mentioned her beating her friend, she thought about her rather boisterous "betrothed". The two of them giggle at the thought since their dynamic was a rather bittersweet and special one. It was perhaps tied to the fact that she no longer viewed TAKEO AIKO as just a guy she met while in Harajuku. Yes, she took to him there out of instinct.. but even then that was a testament of how much deeper their bond went. Ume viewed him as her Knight. Some of her most fond memories come from living a life in the Magellan Castle and holding a bond that was far deeper than the one that destiny had foretold of them specifically. When she thought about him, she realized that she was the one soul that knew him better than anyone may claim. He would embarrass her in Billiards. She giggled again, and shook her head. " I beg to differ.. Takeo has a thing for being not only fashionably late but rather dominant when something competitive is afoot." She spoke a little absently and shook her head once more, green eyes landing on the handsome features of her company. " Nice shot, by the way." She acknowledged. " Want to take a time out? If he doesn't show soon, I'm going to have to leave." She managed to say casually. She was not only impatient, but nostalgic thoughts usually were what drove her to lock herself away the last few days. She didn't want to be around people. She could pretend to be normal, but the more she foud herself being watched by the very same people that she felt comfortable with.. when she thought about her Knight, she was reminded of why she was awake now. The little voice that was Ume was steadily losing out, even in natural comforts such as this. When Orihime had awakened her, she was called to duty and that was a duty that transcended anything that the people around her could comprehend, including the nice boy in her company. Like led to love and happiness, and love and happiness was not something that seemed to last long for a planetary warrior of the Moon. What was she doing here anyway? If it wasn't already evident, her disposition shifted quite noticeably as she absently began to grab her purse. ---- tag: RAIDEN BALAUR ooc: hope you worked that out, and whoops on ume's change.. awakened conflicts[/s[

-- Stand tall, never fall ! Bending back up fully, keen eyes examined the game table—Raiden was already in the midst of figuring out the next billiard to sink. " Oh. Is that right?" He responded to the girl, hazel eyes once upon the table now bestowed upon the beauty on the other side of said table. " Adaptability is a very nice trait to have. We're one in the same in that regard, Ume. I like to believe myself to be unpredictable in most situations. Almost liked a skilled tactician, y'know?" A charming grin accompanied his subtle gaze and cryptic words, a trifecta of confidence and mystery a lot of teenage boys his age either have in abundance or are simply lacking. He rotated around the table one more time, he finally found the ideal ball to sink. Prepare himself with a flawless stance, Raiden was about to hit the billiard. Well, this was until Ume mentioned the friend she would be waiting for—it seemed they had a mutual buddy, it showed on Raiden's face. The Entrepreneur bent up again, locking his gaze back upon the girl. This time his eyes were filled with excitement and childlike glee; akin to how a puppy would be when they lay eyes upon the owner they love so much. " Takeo!" He laughed, openly, a free hand moving through silky ivory locks—front to back in one fluid motion. " We have a lot more in common than either of us could have anticipated it seems. Takeo is also a very good friend of mine. He frequents my venue often and it is never a dull moment when he is around." Still laughing, he continued. " You are right about his two traits. But being late and overly competitive is what makes Takeo so adorable." Before he could further gush about his bro, the girl seemed to have wanted to take a break—the sudden change in her person not going unnoticed. " U-uh. Yeah. Of course." He was honestly taken back by the sudden change, but being adaptable, he quickly adjusted. He offered to take her pool cue, if she gave it to him, he'd place both of them on the stand behind them so the rather long sticks would be completely out of the way for the time being. Afterwards, he'd look back in the direction of the girl—both hands in jeans pockets as a subtle look of concern blossomed across an ebon visage. " Take a seat. No need to stand. Are you thirsty? I can get you a drink of some kind if you are?" He asked in attempt to read the girl—he wanted to pinpoint the exact reason she suddenly changed up. " I apologize if i said anything to offend you, Ume. That was never my intention." Raiden added, words that of a low hum as he took a step forward. He figured she'd probably want her space, so for that one step he took forward, he took three back. Hands still in his pockets awkwardly. Women were so confusion, he had no idea on what to do next. |
