Ah drama class. Possibly the one part of his "regular teenage life" that had any true merit in it all. Drama was something that Kira adored, though, if he were to be more specific, tragedies were his true point of interest. Especially if he was the focal point of it all. It was probably one of the key reasons why he was such a self-centered snake a lot of the time. Then again, he'd always been like that. And for there to be a class in the performing arts that served as a stepping stone into the acting world? What more could he ask for? Ah yes. To be revered as a king in the eyes of many for his god-given gifts of course. Alright, perhaps that was a bit of over-exaggeration, but hey. When you're as talented as you are, why not flaunt it?
This day the teacher would be assigning students roles to read, or rather "play" in an upcoming event from the class. A reenactment of one of the fabled plays of Shakespeare. Oh how exciting! Plays that specifically centered around tragedy! What more could Kira possibly ask for? Ah yes. Not to be surrounded by obnoxious girls raving about like he was the one man made for their particular existence. Granted, he was beautiful and he knew it. But even one such as he had a limit to how much he could take of the female genus. The men, however, were simply adorable. Be it out of spite or admiration, he loved their attention. It made garnering their affections all the more sweeter, be it from the good, or the bad, all the more sweeter.
There was of course one man in particular at this school who he simply loathed One little yappy upstart who seemed to make it their long life goal to attempt to one-up the serpent every chance they got. Simply thinking about them was enough to make the black-haired boy let out a low, angry hiss. If it weren't for the fact that he was undercover as a student right now, he'd probably ravage the classroom and the students inside to blow off some steam. But that simlpy would not do... not yet, anyway.

"I'll chew you up and spit you out!" [attr="class","good"]"This is a complete waste of time." Yuki muttered under his breath as he took a seat in the back corner of the drama class room. He still did not understand why he had to be in this class. What new could he possibly learn from a drama class that he hadn't known from his years of experience with private acting coaches. Having been in several TV dramas and movies, if anything he could probably teach this class more than any so called teacher could. But he would never share his greatest and wisdom with these undeserving neanderthals.
Completely neglecting what was going on in class, he began to think about the upcoming audition that he had for his first big screen movie. According to his manager he already had the role and that the audition was just a formality. He had no doubts that he would get the leadingrole of the film.
Coming back to reality, he tried to listened to what the instructor was saying. Apparently roles were being assigned for an upcoming Shakespearian production, which didn't interest him in the slightest. As he readjusted himself in his seat, he felt someone looking at him from across the room. As he glanced over and found a black-hair guy with a sharp gaze glaring at him. Who was this kid, and what issue does he have with me? Whatever! He thought and turned to look out the window.
Yuki's attention was yanked back to the instructor as he heard a disturbing development, himself and someone named Kira where being considered for the main male role of the play. This irritated him greatly! He needed to focus on the the movie audition not the stupid low budget school production! This wasn't going to help with his resume at all. He needed to get out of this quickly.
"Excuse me." He said as he raised from his seat, interrupting the teacher and causing all attention to be drawn to him. "I'm sorry but as much as I would love to, I will not be able to participate in this production due to work." As he looked around the crestfallen faces of his peers he noticed the smug look on only one. It was the guy with the stupid glare. "So I'm guessing that's Kira." he thought to himself. "I'm sure sure many of you had looked forward to my performance of this great masterpiece, and I too would of loved to work with all of you, but my schedule just won't allow it. I am so sorry and grateful for your consideration though." And with that he gave a bow. Acting, it was what he was great at it and he planned to use it to get everything he wanted.
As he raised his head he heard the applause and reassuring comments from his classmates and teacher of how they understood and it was okay. With an apologetic smile he lowered himself back in he seat. As he sat he made sure to catch the eyes of his dark haired admirer and gave him a smug smile and a wink.

Oh boy. Here came the excuse. Can't participate in the event because of work? What load of crap! Kira was also an actor who had made plenty of appearances here and there, and he was still able to make time for this mundane classwork! Granted, he was doing it in order to maintain cover so that none would suspect him as being an agent of evil, but regardless, there was literally no excuse this little shit stain should get off so easy. The mere thought of one of these pathetic mortals skipping out was proving to be extremely irritating. Well, whatever. He'd get over it soon enough and --- ...Wait. Kira's eyes flickered over towards Yuki, who was passing him a smug smile, as though he were trying to one-up the serpent right here and now. "That repugnant little shit!" he thought to himself, his eyes only twitching ever-so-slightly so as to avoid a full-on death glare. He already had to deal with JAMES MANSFIELD 's obnoxious attempts at seeming like a better man already, and he wasn't about to let some blonde brat of an upstart get the better of him either. And being the quick-thinking snake that he was, he couldn't help but let his lips curl into a smile as he passed a leering glance at Yuki before raising his hand to interject. "Chotto matta... Now, I think you're being a little hasty here, Yuki-chan. While it may be true that you have work correlating to this particular class, I think it might be better if you do participate with us. Think about it. What better way to exercise your talent off the set than trying for one of the leading roles of this classic play? Who knows? If you do well enough, you may even be considered for much bigger parts in upcoming projects! But of course... if you're too nervous to undertake such a heavy burden, then I certainly wouldn't mind filling in those shoes. Plus, it will be less of a hassle that way. Much less... competition to deal with." A snake-like snicker hissed past his lips, the students murmuring among themselves as Kira basically openly challenged Yuki to see if the other male even had the mettle to step up to something so simple that was capable of yielding great reward. The instructor attempted to speak up to get the class to settle down, but Kira paid him no mind. Those crimson eyes were far too focused to see how Yuki would react - to see if he would take the bait. Even if he didn't do so right away, he would keep egging him on. He was going to establish who the real King of this school was, and it certainly was not this brat. "If you really would rather not, I completely understand. The lead role is said to be rather difficult due to its... morally challenging twists and turns. It gets pretty gritty to say the least.

[attr="class","afbase"] [attr="class","aftop"] [attr="class","aficon"] [attr="class","afboxbase"] sugar free ♡ [attr="class","afbox"]Why was she here again? Oh right, that whole shadowing an instructor thing. One of those silly things the academy had inducted to show the students what having an actually job was like. That, and showing them how 'rewarding' it was to help out the future talented of tomorrow. What a load. Honestly, Hyerin had no plan of helping anyone prosper, but herself. And why you ask? Because it was a dog eat dog world. And little bitches tended to get bit. But all the same, she needed those good marks on her report card. So she would stand in the corner of class and jot down some notes or whatever. Possibly doodle a picture against the notepad when nothing of importance was being said. As long as those fairies in her head continued to rest, Hyerin could get much more done. Albeit, she did enjoy the occasional verbal scuffles the horde of fairies had when their opinions differed. A plethora of giggles to be shared between the group.
Unfortunately, that wasn't the case today. Behind the instructor's desk, Hyerin sat. Watching the underlings stomp in and take their seats. All underclassmen, and all unknown faces to the pinkette. Not like she had a reason to remember any of them. Sure, they were all under the entertainment sector of the academy, but she was a dancer and a model. So her classes were geared more towards her skills. Drama? Not so much. Being an actress had never crossed her mind, not even once. So having being assigned to shadow the drama instructor? Rather roundabout. But like she said, whatever. She'd just sit and get the grade she needed, and then be on her merry way.
Today the drama instructor was assigning roles to the students for an upcoming Shakespeare play. Ye old English gave the Korean a headache from the depths of hell. The stories themselves though? They were pretty good. Romantic to a jarring degree. But good all the same. Elbows rested against the desk as a pen was toyed with between her fingers. Lazy golden hues watched in boredom as the students began to receive their roles. Brows perking up as a certain blond kid interjected. "Hm?" Her head tilted slightly, the plot thickened.
He spoke of having a prior engagement. Work, he said. Hyerin's eyes lowered in his direction. What kind of work could he possibly be on about? Stage fright? Using McRonald's as an excuse to hide from the lime light? And then he had the nerve to toss that smarmy tidbit at the end about apologizing for a lack luster performance, she was sure, that hadn't even happened yet. Her hues rolled, her head shook. These underclassmen were all a joke and then some. Trying to inflate egos in preparation for the many of set backs that were soon to befall each and every one of them. Hyerin shrugged her shoulders, pen moving to her notepad to scribble once more. Until, another voice joined the ranks. An even smarmier little shit, too.
Her head rose, and turned to the source. Once again, she had no idea who either of them were. But it was clear there was some sort of unspoken tension between the two. And, she wouldn't lie, the urge to stir the pot was far too strong for the girl to ignore. So, the moment the other finished, Hyerin took it upon herself to stand from behind the desk. "Don't worry teach, I got this." The dancer strolled around the desk, sauntering slowly before leaning against the cluttered surface of the desk. "Sounds to me, like you're just scared that the blond and baby-faced over here is going to get the role you want." Index finger pointing back to raven haired youth.
"I mean," her shoulders shrugged. "If it were me," fingers moved to press against her chest. "I'd much rather be worried about acquiring actually funds than... appeasing mommy and daddy?" Head shook. "But I mean, some of us can't book actual gigs if they were in a library. Every library in the city, for that matter." Hyerin snickered. "Take it from me, one of your upperclassmen," eyes darting to the instructor who stood with mouth agape. "It's cute to have a triple wide ego and all. But if you're talent doesn't add up, and you think performing for Mugen's 40% of the talented will get you somewhere?"
Hyerin stopped her speech, moving to sit back down in the chair she had been provided. "I hope you can remember the lines, 'would you like fries with that?' Cause that's all the lines you'll be getting." A hand motioned to the instructor. "Can I see the lines? I want to uh, practice what I've seen the past few days." A heathen's grin twisted at gloss lips. "Can I teach for the remainder of the class? Y'know, for experience?" Her fingers wiggled forth for the packet of paper. To with which, the instructor begrudgingly passed off to the abrasive girl.
"Thanks~" Once again, Hyerin hopped up and skimmed the words on the paper. "Okay, you," Manicured nail pointing to the Raven haired boy. "Show me why you should even be considered for the main role. Afteeeer," the same finger moved to the blond. "You show me why you should skip out on the play for work."
Brow crooked upwards. "This work of yours, it's a gig right? Show 'em what it's like to be on top. Or y'know, flop, crash, and burn~" She giggled. "Your choice." "I'll chew you up and spit you out!" [attr="class","good"]
Yuki was fucking pissed! He never wanted to be in this class and now he to deal with a slick talking asshole and now this know it all prima donna. Why the hell did he have to prove himself to these idiots. He had more talent in his pinky toe than this whole class put together. "Whatever." He thought to himself.
As he looked around the class he saw the students looked at each other and back at him, whispers being exchanged amongst them. If he had it his way he would say "Fuck this!" and skip school for the rest of the day. Yuki hated having to keep up this persona of a "good guy" that he actually cared about the opinions of his so called peers. But his manager thought that this act would be best for publicity reasons. So that forced Yuki to play nice with everyone, which had became tedious for the actor.
Gathering his thoughts, Yuki decided to perform a monologue from one of his favorite shows. If they wanted a show, he was going to give them one. Closing his eyes and taking a deep breath he began:
"There are many types of monsters that scare me: Monsters who cause trouble without showing themselves, monsters who abduct children, monsters who devour dreams, monsters who suck blood... and then, monsters who tell nothing but lies. Lying monsters are a real nuisance: They are much more cunning than others. They pose as humans even though they have no understanding of the human heart; they eat even though they've never experienced hunger; they study even though they have no interest in academics; they seek friendship even though they do not know how to love. If I were to encounter such monsters, I would likely be eaten by them... because in truth, I am that monster."
As he brought himself back to the moment, he noticed silence had taken over the room. All attention had been on him and he loved it! Keeping his cool composure, he took he seat.
