It wasn’t like it mattered, he’d do well for the most part and then go to one of the universities near the city. “Hmm…” the library was quiet as usual, be it no one really used it on the weekdays, the librarian even took some time off today, sitting in her office knitting instead of seeing who came in and out of the library and what books were being taken.
The bluenette went up the staircase nearest to the entrance, to one of the more secluded areas of the building, at night it seemed abandoned, almost creepily so. His hands traced down the rows of books as he turned down an isle, l he didn't plan to read anything, or not at least for their content but as an assist in his quest for a nap, reading generally made him tired.
He picked up a book from the fantasy section, nothing special, a romance novel. He wasn't one for mushy things like this but it looked boring enough from the title, “The wolf and The Dove.” it seemed interesting as well to him, maybe he could learn something from it or it would provide for an interesting dream.
Slumping into the nearest table he opened the book and began to read, stuffing his nose into the hardcover looking for the more or less steamy scenes immediately. . | ✎ tag: @open ✎ tag: @get in here

[nospaces] [attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"]The library... how often was it that Nagisa actually came to this place? Well, these days, it definitely wasn't very often. Growing up as it were, he'd mainly come here in order to help educate himself, with a little assistance from the librarians, were they willing. All things considered, he turned out to be a pretty smart cookie. Not exactly "elite" smarts, mind you, but still decent enough to be considered average high-school level. But that wasn't why he was here today. No, he was here to pick up books for reference material for one of his upcoming street performances. And for that, he'd be taking up a variety of books. Fiction, non-fiction, children's books, manga, books on magic tricks. The library was a great well of resources at his disposal so he could become a better performer! And earn some decent coin while he was at it![break][break]
As he walked among the aisles, he couldn't help but notice a darker-skinned guy with his nose practically buried into a book. At first, he wasn't going to pay much mind to it, until he did a double-take and spotted the cover. "The Wolf and The Dove". A romance novel! And one he'd read before! Footsteps moved him a little closer so as to get a better look at the guy reading it. A dark-haired male, possibly around his age... though in a way, the guy looked pretty intense. Hell, he'd almost mistake the guy for Yakuza if it weren't for some weird gut-feeling he got from him. He seemed intense, but at the same time, didn't seem all that bad either. But there was only so much he could tell about another from a 3/4 profile view. Maybe he'd let himself be a little nosy and see where things went?[break][break]
Stepping a little closer and leaning over juuuuust a touch, he spoke up with a warm a smile. "That one's a really good read." he whispered, so as not to disrupt the quiet that was typical of a library. "It's about a guy and a girl - obviously. The guy is known for being rather brash and abrasive, the typical lone-wolf sort of person. Doesn't usually get along well with anyone really well. But that starts to change when he meets up with a girl who's really kind, and sweet, and kind of strikes a soft spot in his heart. It's a tad cliche in the setup, but the pace of the writing keeps making you want to find out what happens next. So really, you've got a pretty good find right there."

There was nothing in this book close to what he wanted so far, he normally didn’t like to read and would be embarrassed to be reading such a thing in public at the moment. He looked at the book carefully scanning every sentence for something interesting or at the very least risque. He turned the book side ways looking for any sort of hidden code or even just an uncovered ankle, but it was a dry well of nothing, just dialogue and endless romancing. If he wanted to think about courting women he’d just go do it. Where was the substance?
Upon feeling someone hovering over him Will sheepishly jumped looking over at the green haired fellow. He seemed friendly, smiling down at Kenny’s read whilst he explained a few things, “Why are you whispering?” he asked, as he listened to the man’s analysis. “Well the main character sounds alot like me, and the girl sounds alot like the woman i’ll never find.” he said flatly, feigning a frown. He was partially saddened by the truth he just spoke, he was a loner at heart, but he wasn’t too concerned about meeting his dream woman… Yet.
“Thanks for the description.” he told the stranger, given how empty the library was there was no use in whispering, “I’m Kenny, it’s nice to meet you.” he nodded leaving the book open in front of him, “Say you wouldn’t know when things get uh… “Not safe for work” in the book do ya? I need to see for research purposes.” | |

[nospaces] [attr="class","biggieno"] [attr="class","textieno"]The guy jumped at Nagisa's initial interaction, the boy assuming he'd caught him in the middle of some intense reading. Or so he thought. After questioning why Nagisa was whispering, he went on to inquire as to whether or not there were any "steamy" segments to the book. At this, the dual-colored boy was unable to help but leer his eyes at the other a bit, red hues seeming to bore past blue ones in a scrutinizing manner. "Ba~ka." he opened up with, heavily implying that the man had asked a very dumb question. "It's a library. Of course I'm going to whisper cuz I'm not exactly the type of guy who the old ladies like to see around here too often. And sorry to say, but the closest thing you'll find to that is towards the very end of chapter fifteen, where the guy becomes more comfortable in letting down his barriers and he and the girl start getting really close. But nothing really happens save for an awkward start of removing clothes before they quit before going further. That's when you know that he's really trying to be a better man at that point. Oh shoot, spoilers..!"[break][break]
A click of his tongue in annoyance with himself followed shortly after. The saying went that a magician never revealed his secrets, so why the hell did he slip up on a romance novel so easily?! Probably because he was so into them that he couldn't help but share the juicy bits and his opinions on them. Oh well. Judging by how this conversation was going, the guy didn't really seem all that interested in the story anyway. It wasn't hard to tell just by looking at that glint in his eyes. Nagisa couldn't help but let out a sigh before raising a hand, gesturing for the other male to stay put. "Chotto matta..." he said with a slight groan, turning to round the corner of the nearest aisle in what was labeled "dark fiction". It wasn't very long before he came back with at least five different books, one of them being one that was practically known around the world. Part of the title that was visible on the side clearly read "50 Shades of Grey", so it would give the darker male an idea of what sort of books were pulled off the shelves.[break][break]
"These are all the books you'll really need for stuff like that. The one should suffice enough, but I figured maybe you'd be interested in these as well since it has... your primary search, along with some interesting stories on the side." He didn't even know why he was trying to get the guy interested in actual plot content. Maybe it was due to his passion for romance and drama? Or maybe he was going to feel bored otherwise? He honestly wasn't sure. But on that note, he'd decided to take a seat across from the guy and set his books down. One would think that a kid was the one taking interest in the books he'd picked out, but Nagisa didn't really care. He had already taken out his deck of cards and began shuffling them with expert hands and fingers as he pondered on which book to prop open first. Either way, he was going to walk out of here with some new material before the day was over.
